Who is going to wait for EVGA P67 Classified? If so how long are you willing to wait? I am waiting for the Classified and I guess I can wait till June, however, by then the new mobos will be out  *This thread, due to it going off the original topic, has been amended to a discussion on the EVGA P67 FTW/Classified **Because this thread has gone on so long, I found it necessary to rename it to "P67 FTW/SLI Discussion"**

Been a big time EVGA user since my first comp but.. I really have a hard time that the companies just are not getting their boards out fast enough and I would love to take the first board that suits what I need. So no, I am not, but if they were gonna tell me what date and what price, I would def, if the time was right, stick with the classy.

If I had a date on when it was going to be released yes id probably wait,but we hear nothing from them at all.
I defended EVGA when the board first came out and theres didn't but its been long enough IMO..
If the ASROCK Extreme 6 is out first I will get that..If I hear word from EVGA with a release date then I would rethink this..
there must be something happening,or not happening to cause further delay with EVGA but there not talking..
I will not however jump on an ASUS board no matter what so that one is out of the question.

I'll wait.
Based on my overall satisfaction with the P55 FTW 200, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a P67 Classified. I'm not in a panic to jump to Sandy Bridge yet, so I can wait until they are out. I won't be buying any of the competitors boards, regardless when they arrive.
However, with no need to go to anything beyond two 580's, I would also consider the P67 SLI, should it be the only version available.

It depends, Its getting really close to the Z68 coming out and, for me, This is a so much better platform. It will make a great HTPC in a year when 2011 comes out. Everyone showed off their Z68 Boards at Cebit this week and still nothing from EVGA on it or P67

I think the question for me is two fold.. Is the z68 going to be THAT much better the the 67 and will the board qualify for the step up program for whenever the Classified comes out.
At this point they make come out at the same time. LOL.

Like I said, for me, Z68 is where its at... here's why (Of course... my line of thinking probably doesn't make sense but...) I know that I'm going to the lga2011 the day it's released. So options or a upgrade path for 1155 is a real short one. Selling it all or repurposing it. Don't need another desktop. My x58 fine and I am sure in a years time i can get my hands on a 980-990 for about half price. So next year 1155=HTPC. By then it will be a 1155 Ivy bridge with 24 EU's. Put that with a Z68, with no need for a GPU, and all of my old hard drives (if SSD cache works it will give some life to all of my old sata2 drives). So now I'm just hoping that EVGA will have a Z68 in a timely manner  If they pull this "late to the party" with 2011  ....God help'em... they might as well just stick with GPU's

I've been researching and asking about the EVGA P67 since 11/2010 or so. The initial response was YES, EVGA would have P67 boards in time for the Sandy Bridge launch on 1/9/2011. However, it's been [nearly] 2.5 months since the initial launch date and, well, nothing. I picked up an ASUS P8P67 Board on 1/9/2011 that I just returned yesterday for a full refund at MC because it has the faulty chipset. I'm willing to wait until April 1st. I just find it hard to believe EVGA is going to be launching P67 boards anytime soon. There is absolutely no recent information relating to the classified at review sites or trade shows either; other than the initial photo's that appeared on the web in 12/2010. I want one (classified) really bad though! EVGA's warranty, technical support, and forum community are second to NONE. I caught your vet staus, cool. I been through a few deployments, 14 deployements, and 8 tours 3/5. Proud of you! I did 30 years. (1979-2009). I am a BOS'n if that means any thing to you, I am retired W5 and I love my Raptor and my computer.
I would like to know guys more about the z68 platform because I have been waiting so long for the EVGA boards to come out it may be better to wait longer and get the next thing down the road. I was with Artic Eagle and waiting for the Classified but not another FTW! 2weeks after I got this board the 790's came out and only two bios updates. No support!
