Arctic_E: I resolved the boot-up looking-for-disks issue under the Chipset tab, set Launch Storage OpRom to Disable (Launch PXE OpRom is Disabled by default, if my memory serves me correctly). Did a little online research for this before disabling it and it worked for me. To naokiura: I am having some issues with setting VCore manually as well. I am running @ 4gig and stable, but it's on "auto" as well. My bios are ver 1.13 as well. Jacob said that the new bios have a long change list. Hopefully, this will be addressed with the update. To the folks who haven't had bios problems before on EVGA, luck you. I've got another rig with a 780i SLI board and lived with infrequent BSODs until bios P08 was released. And had to abandon the Raid 0 configuration due to disk controller glitches (caused lockups). Love the 780i board, though.

thanks cvjones, glad I'm not alone thought I had a lemon, hhmmmm ... nah just kidding. I still like the board. Everything else seems fine for now, no other problems except for that unable to find hard drive at post, got me worried for a while. I'll set that OpROM in my BIOS too. Even though I am still runing at stock speed (3.3 Ghz) I have set everything else to what Jacobs O.C. instructions had said. I dunno I like to set things manually as much as possible, whether I'm setting things to default or not. Other than those two issues the board has been great so far. POSTing is much faster than the 780i I used to have, even while this one is at stock speed and my 780i was overclocked. Everything launches faster, downloads seems to be faster. thanks

Setting the OpRom to disable didn't work for me. After I set it to disable and rebooted, BIOS only gave the me Optics drive as a boot device, I couldn't see any of my hard drives under the Boot options menu. If I let it go I had an error message stating "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key. Guess I'll leave it enabled since it's not much of a problem and I have too lol.

Yeah, that be me. Sent the SLI back. Many of the sentiments I see expressed by the folks are the same I had with the SLI model. I expressed my sentiments to EVGA on the phone today as I was trying to figure-out the next step. I will say this - I liked the quality of the board, I liked the way it was laid out, and I did like the fit. The BIOS while quirky was quite livable till an update arrived. I even modified my quality Deck KB to live with the board (internally convert from PS/2 to USB). What really got to me was the lack of tech support and forthrightness concerning my issues, i.e. fan speed controls, broken devices in Win 7's control panel, and intermittant BIOS settings saves. I am not an avid OCer, but I do know my way around boards. This board should not have been released till the BIOS was a bit more refined. They were already behind the others, so a couple of weeks more would have made no difference. Because the other mobo companies get away with it, is no excuse - I expected more from EVGA. Curious to see how long it takes for the new BIOS and the list of changes. Still pondering my next step. dogofwar if there is no problems, its all good, but if problems yes it will be worse. and someone does have probs with sli version, jimtram already sent his SLI back!

What BIOS did you guys get? What voltage setting are you running and is vdroop enabled or disabled? Also the BIOS changelist will be as follows, also it will take care of the oprom issue. Hoping to release by this Friday: * Ability to customize BIOS profile names * Updated CPU Microcode * Updated ME firmware to 7.1.13.1088 * Updated Intel RAID ROM to v10.5.0.1034 * Remove VT-d option (unsupported by chipset) * Remove OCP and ICC limitation * Now you can manually type in VCORE and DIMM voltage * Fix "ACPI Sleep State item does not work when Hibernation is disabled" issue * Add E-SATA control item * Change BOARD SERIAL NUMBER in BIOS 0.1 to 1.1 * Add IO Latency control * Add Round Trip Latency control * BIOS cosmetic updates

Jacob, I have the same issue as naokiura. Can set set CPU speed but can't manually set VCore voltage. Have VDroop 'disabled'. When set to manual, it either boots to Windows and Eleet shows only one core, or it won't boot to Windows at all. Currently running 4gig on 'Auto'. Runs stable (Prime 95 passed). Will wait to see what the new BIOS do for this. Other than that, it kicks ass in BFBC2. Have tried 1.3V all the way to 1.385. Any CPU setting at or above 38 (3.8G) results in one core showing up in Eleet or failure to boot to Windows. Possible that I need to set voltage higher (1.39+) but not sure that is advisable. Wow sounds like the problems I first had all weekend, till monday morning when I switch out bran new gskill ram. If I set the vcore or anything it would not post. Well after switching out the ram everything is awsome. If any of you have extra ram laying around, try switching to see if it helps. After I got other sticks in there everything worked as expected. To get the vcore to stay put. You have to disable a few things. Peace

@ jacob, this question will determine the fact if i purchase anymore boards from evga, not that it amounts to anything as far as evga is concerned, but after so long of a release how did these boarsd get released with all these issues and incompatabilities? seems like there was no Q/A , and if there was.....where do you see the credibility on the future products?, i waited maybe 45 days after the release of other manufacturers, and for higher priced item, getting the board today, only to have to wait another few days? before a revision is availible for accurate operation. post a pm if you wish, just need some solid ground here to stand on this issue please. thx

We believe the issue may be stemming from some particular RAM timings that may not be auto setting correctly, we are hoping to address this by this Friday. In the meantime, for those who experience this, try setting the following under the memory timings section: IO = 2 RTL = 34
