I am super mad! I can't believe it, i've used newegg for YEARS! I have never had this problem before. If you order from newegg, don't expect them to ship you the right item any more i guess.
Now because of THEIR screw up i have to wait more than a week for a refund to process.
argh!

Weird. I ordered my two EVGA GTX 980s from them on day one and got exactly that. Maybe just bad luck?

Weird, I ordered the MSI 970 GTX Gaming and received an Asus Strix 970. Since both cards are now on backorder, I'm not complaining. :)

It could be worse. U could of been one of the several dozen ppl who ordered 780ti's from newegg and got empty boxes shipped to their house. And newegg replied "not my problem".

They had some many orders placed for the EVGA cards that they are trying to fill them with other brand cards, it's not the first time they have done this.

The Gigabyte are awesome cards and the Windforce 3 fan is doing an amazing job at being quiet and keeping your card cold. I currently run the Gigabyte HD 7950 with the WF3 and it's one of the best cards i've had. Very silent and efficient.

If your happy with it then that's all that really matters. I just like having it vent the waste heat out the back and not into the case so I stick with the ref coolers, however they do need a custom fan profile to work. The 980s under full load and I couldn't hear the fans which is a nice change from my 670s but they are also really old.

+1..... ive had this happen from a couple different companies. The old monarch.com used to do that and mwave too. Im sure its a lot more common then we think.

Depends on the site and time it will take to get the correct item. I know tigerdirect also does this when they can. I am just lucky enough to have tigerdirect frys and microcenter all in driving distance, only online place I use anymore is amazon.
