Dear JDookie, I can confirm that these updates are intended to fix the EVBot voltage issue that some of our users were experiencing.

How can you tell if the flash succeeded, other than by overclocking, is there a version number change or any other way to find out?

And it tells me what? S1 Normal version is 80.80.34.00.80 S2 version is 80.80.34.01.80 (the one I flashed) I think those were the same numbers before. So to simplify my question, does the new bios have a different version number or not?

Simplest method for flashing BIOS is download NVFlash tool for Windows http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2258/nvflash-5-142-for-windows/mirrors Than you can make one folder in drive C:/ example Classified and extract inside 3 files from NVFLash tool.(2 .sys files and nvflash important) In same folder you will put and file with graphic card BIOS... xxx.rom... Than only with move that BIOS xxx.rom file in nvflash file...(like you want to move some files in folder) than you will see little cmd window and option to press Y if you want to flash...

I flashed GTX780 on this way...off course name of your .rom file would be different... For that you must ask EVGA or download for some site, overclock.net... After that I saw cmd promt with option to pres Y button if want to flash and after restart my BIOS was flashed. I looked few clips on youtube search for something simple to show you but I didn't find, people from some reason need to show us music they listen and other things more than to flash BIOS on simple way... even if they make video clip to explain how to flash graphic card.

Hey bud... just follow this video. It is really easy to do once you have done it a time or two. Just remember to save your original bios using GPU-Z (which is in the video). I save mine in 2 places just to be sure I have them. One on my C Drive and then another on my Flash Drive. http://www.trickmasterpc.com/

Hi, quick side question regarding flashing bios on the 780ti classy. I have tried several different .rom files and can successfully flash them all just fine and they all work with short bench tests, like in 3dmark11. However, in real world gaming, they all will crash my battlefield 4 at some point, sometimes it takes an hour or two, other times it's the first game. Luckily stock clock is decent at 1150mhz and i have never had a crash so I currently just keep it there. It's sad as I'd like to be able to overclock my card, but having to restart the game midway through just isn't a good trade off for the few frames I'd get in return. Is anyone else having this experience? Or if not, what bios are you using? I've tried flashes that gets me 1216mhz at 1.121v and works *most* the time, other ones are minor OC with a slight memory increase at stock volts and also work *most* of the time. I would just like something that has rock solid stability like the stock bios while getting me the satisfaction of oc at the same time as I spent a lot of money on this particular version of the card for this very reason. As it is i feel like I paid a premium for something I am not getting the full benefit of. : /

So, I installed the new BIOS on the 780Ti Classified, and it is less stable than the regular BIOS. The regular BIOS can do 7160 on the memory, but I can't go any higher on the core. The new one can not even finish a 5 minute run on Heaven on STOCK settings. That is frustrating. So I'm back to regular BIOS. I didn't try the LN2 one before, which I kind of regret right now, so I might re-flash it. Wanted to know if other people have the same issues. Also, @Chris is there another version of the BIOS planned? Or do I have a problem with my card? Thanks! P.S. The card is NOT overvolted (raised the power limit to 106% on AB, left core voltage as is).

You said 780 Classified... The BIOS says 780Ti Classified.... Did you mean the Ti Classified? If not, this new bios wasn't exactly meant for that card, as far as I understand.

This was a normal experience for some of us as well when this new bios was first released by Chris B. The new bios actually overclocked worse than the stock one. It's not the card most likely, there are other threads with different bios details if you're comfortable trying other ones. I have tried probably 4-5 different ones and all work, however, at some point my game crashes and I guess I have high standards for stability and am searching for the perfect one. So right now I am just using stock as that's the most stable.

Thanks! I guess I'll use stock for now, as I believe using a non-EVGA BIOS will void the warranty (can't be sure though, from reading the warranty). Hope they release a newer version, that is stable, as right now, it seems that the SC ACX version of the card is better (and cheaper).

Sounds like stock bios is working for you. I've fine tuned my versions, both seem quite stable. In case you wanted to try them again. PM any questions, thanks!
