It is prudent to differentiate whither a list is started by an official EVGA spokes person, or by a form user. As a user form, EVGA is not bound by much of what is posted here; try to filter what is official, and what is not.

** It would be nice if Official EVGA posts had a special banner, or Notation !

By the way you do not need one for your 4-way, that's what the additional power plug is for above the 1st PCIe card.

firerx

what was the point of creating this list in the thread, and when you go to the page it tells you "out of stock" " Promotion ended"? Wasn't that the understanding of creating this list here?  I was 51's on the list too.

When I went there, right after JacobF posted, it didn't say that firerx, it gave me the opportunity to order. Must have been a limited amount first-come first-serve thing.

Main (gaming) rig: i7-3930K; Asus Rampage IV Extreme; H100 W/p-p Excaliburs, AS5; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB.
See my primary ModsRigs: Adam for the rest, and I have a second (wife's) rig Asus Rampage III Extreme & 960: Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

I was under the impression that the list in the thread was what counted. Obviously I was wrong. Which is why I was pissed. Why start a list in the first place if folks in the thread [first post] aren't considered?

Asus Rampage V Extreme Edition 10
Intel Core i7 6900K

EVGA didn't start the list, that's why.

I did see this work at a concert camp out once, Guy pulled up in a Van, just before Turtals records opened. starting passing out #'s on  cards to those of us that had been there all night, Looked official white Van, Black leather jacket, Kacki pants and a blue pull over. Even had a lanyard with some kind of badge on it. I was 4th, He stood near the door telling people to stay in line, and not to croud. ( This was before the Internet and ticket masters) When the doors opened, he walked in, and bought a ticket, seems he passed out 2-25. once I realized what had happened, I didn't know whither to get mad or Laugh . I still ended up floor 18th row, but he wesiled out of the cold and the rain.

I for one do not blaim evga for a defective mb IMO just to be clear. think about it. why has no one had any issues in the past when the 200 series was here with the same x58 mb? 295 did not even have issues. no higher grade parts drawing more power then they should and issues. I have ran the same e758 evga mb for my 200 series and 400 series gpus, so if there was a defective mother board it would have presented its self before the 400 series.

IMO evga built mb to spec, now they have to change that, for newer hardware as upgraded chipset do.

I agree in that I have run 3X GTX295's on my E759 however, the GPU's were fickle while folding and unstable. Hence, I decided to fold on only 2. Problem solved for me. Some others might choose to use the other Slot's real estate and this would be a REAL problem over time.
I see in your sig that you have only got 2X480's in SLI and a PhysX card. If this is the case, you probably are using a PowerBoost that could have been better served going to a system that was stressed enough to actually require one.
Just saying............ YMMV

Thus the anger at the way the whole situation was handled by EVGA.

In the future, the Mods should tell all folks Posting List like the one in this thread, Must post an disclaimer that EVGA will not recognize the list officially for any purpose. I think that will kill any confusion for users  in the future thinking their on an approved list.

The second I read the title I knew it wasn't official. so I never bothered coming into it. Only reason I came into it now is because I am getting a kick out of all the people getting mad over this thing.
When more come into stock I will happily buy one for $20. My power draw goes down to 11.5ishv occasionally while folding.

Great idea, it was very misleading. I didn't want one, but I'd have had problems if I posted here given the Thread title. EVGA (Mods or otherwise) seemingly made no attempt at clarifying.

Blame the creator of this thread for the confusion.

But, an EVGA rep did post in this thread how it would be handled (would be put on the main page for sale week of Dec 20th)....

And yet no Official clarification statement which (IMO) would further lead one to believe that this thread was sanctioned by EVGA.

@ diversion #XXXXXXX. Yup it's getting that long. Ya'll aren't making EVGA look any better, in fact the shallow attemps at excuses make them (EVGA) look worse. Really, you all are not doing MY hardware manufacturer of choice any service here. Please leave the explanations to EVGA official representatives.

Just stumbled across this. Are the E758's affected?

Trying to read 4+ threads with many becoming Asus vs. EVGA and emotional rants became a bit too dis-informing.

Thanks in advance.
