LOL, no need to worry. I'm pretty much done for now. It's amazing, you can sit there ALL DAY running Vantage. "ooooo here comes a good one!" Then the damn thing craps out on the last test, LOL. Having more fun playing games right now.

I usually test just calico as if it is not going to make it at current settings thats the test it locks up on. If it passes that test I runt he entire run again. Word of the wise.... it loads much faster if you have Vantage installed on a SSD.

Wouldn't it be better for the test to load slower? Give your parts a little extra time to cool?

It's cold in here. I set the air conditioner to 60f at 7:00 pm and I have a sweatshirt on cause I'm freezing my tail off. Oh and I have my pc set right at the vent. Had my vid card up to 1920/2275 and making every pass, but the score didn't go up unless I clocked the cpu higher, but it would crash the cpu test or the cpu test would dog out at the end.

It's there, just gotta find the right combo I had before. Facepalm for not saving the settings to a profile. You should create a spreadsheet/template that you can write that stuff down. You will refer back to it often as variables change (ambient temps, water temps, humidity, multiple/single card configs, drivers, OS, physx/non-physx, etc) All that stuff can't be saved in a BIOS profile. I've written down every run I ever did....It won't be long that my bench folder is thicker than the federal health care law, lol! And don't worry about the second card coming....you can turn a pci-e slot off with the classified to do single card runs. Plus you are going to need to fully test your second card to see if it might be the better overclocker anyway. Or you can ditch your case, which makes switching water cooled cards a snap (get some koolance quick disconnect shutoff nozzles too).

kram36 Got 30k broke, still trying for a little better. Congrats. That's nice. I'm not willing to push my good running GTX 480 that hard. i need to turn my office into a freezer first. i got my RMA back today... it was a different card than i sent in and I was all excited... plugged it up and ran OC scanner... at stock clocks i get 3386 artifacts after just 2 minutes. that's even worse than the card I RMA'd! ugh... hooray for another $15.00 in shipping and 2 weeks without a card. so far after spending all this money... i've had an SLI 480 system for about 4 weeks out of the 8 weeks i've had the cards. after the next two weeks that'll be 6 weeks out of 10. maybe once all of you are maxed out on potential i can play catch up!

main reason why i buy from stores...if it isn't up to par...take it right back and get one that is.... went through just what you went through with my 295's...did that about 4 times on one rma'd card.

Too bad decent hardware stores are hard to come by. There are two Microcenters in New York and each is at least a 3 hour drive from where I live. I can only imagine how it is in Virginia.
