yes and yes. mine read ending 0086 and it should have been 0089 that card took out my board as well. i thought it was the fan, remember? well it was that stupid card.

Just Kidding Pentium. I have them at 1.25.
Perhaps my card's death was just going to happen anyway no matter what, I ran 1.15v through both in SLI. It was the same GPU1 card I posted about in another thread that was making the hissing sound in OC Scanner. Grats on those clocks! I'm a bit nervous and sticking to 1.113v @ 1800/2180 now which hasn't had any stability problems for me.

480 killed your mainboard? Mine shutdown and refused to boot up like there was some kind of protection from starting.

Wow..... I have one of those ultra cheapy PCI-E cards as well I think with 128MB ram on it NV285 perhaps is the model for testing boards. That's crazy. So far so good on my board no smoke. What a pain to swap out but at least EVGA RMA works well.

i feel like a real dummy had i smelled the card instead of me trying to protect it....i would be up and running now. i got my replacement and now im running it on a intel board.
evga setup the rma, so ill get this to them by wednesday, since everyone will be shut down tomorrow, right?
say Pentium....you have a nv285 huh.....can i borrow that to bench for a few points on the bot...lol

Thanks, and 1800/2180 is no slouch...that's a pretty hefty overclock. You could probably push the core a little more with those volts and see where it fails...just for fun ya know! I wouldn't get worried about a card failing prematurely on volts that aren't exactly aggressive....at least you rooted it out of your system and hopefully have a better card now.

Thanks, 34k....not unless I get my cpu frequencies up. I feel I need to be about 4.9ghz....I've been at 5ghz on 06, but vantage cpu tests are much more grueling. The GPU is about topped out. 2040 core is a no go, and the 2270 ram is really pushing it...I mean really, really pushing it. I would need LN2 or Dice to push the gpu more, but then again ram and vregs might be a problem with LN2 or Dice .

With any luck I only have 1 bad card and 1 weak card. This I can live with the weak one will go in # 3 slot until it fails or I get the 4th back from RMA.

His OC's are far to low for a P45K score....CPU @ 4.16 right up thier with 4.5 - 4.7...and virtually Stock GPU Clocks.....uh huh...Tri Sli for sure!
