the one that gets me the most is...people come in here and are all of a sudden law abiding citizens, but in real life...they will:
drink and drive
smoke weed
cuss out another driver on the road
speeding
run red lights and do the famous rolling at a stop stop sign
cheat on wives and girl friends or boyfriends
and a whole host of other things....
but in a internet forum....start speaking on rules and regulations and what not.
to damn funny!
So do you do all the things in bold?

what happens if you do an "update of driver" from the device manager. pick the driver that shows up and then see if gpz starts working or have you tried this already?

I tried, it just finds the 197.55 and some older ones I used for the gtx 295, I pick 197.55 and it says already up to date.

download 197.41 do an uninstall of your old driver and then do an install of the new driver. can't see any reason why you wouldn't be seeing anything now. side note: don't like how gpuz can't read the cards current voltage.

Nice work Q56_. Did you figure out GPU-Z. If not, they just came out with 0.4.3. It says it has voltage monitoring. I'm just trying it out and my volts in GPU-Z are riding a little higher compared to Inspector. http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=378786

Thanks you guys. That's probably all I can get for now, unless I get another very cool night. My card has to be really really cool to go 1905/2260 and above for constant solid runs. Actually it's the VRM area that needs to get cooled off. The Hydro Copper uses a heat pipe to cool the VRM, it does a decent job until you start putting some higher volts to the card. Those 980X's make a ton of difference (drool). I just haven't been able to justify that purchase for me yet.
