Yeah I run 820/1820 "little lower than your clocks" at 1.125 for everything. The gain between 800-850 is very minimal.

I did lots of experimenting with this. Check out the attached image.




This was done with Heaven 2.1 at max quality settings in Nvidia control panel and max settings in Heaven 2.1

Just ran it again,downclocked cpu to 3.469ghz-ran @ 750/1500/1836-bumped memory fsb to 935 and got gpu-16664 gpu-43589 P19707!

yup, my highest clocks at high volts do not give me my best scores, there is a sweet spot i keep trying to find

Just got my motherboard back from rma, and deceided to buy 2 gtx470's.  I got the ssc version because they were the same price.  After returning one of the first cards because something was wrong with it, things started to look up.  One of the first card ran really HOT, and sometimes the screen would flash red.  Returned it to microcenter and everything worked out.  This second card runs cooler than the top card.  Stepping up from a single gtx295, I do have to say that I am impressed.

After my last bench I decided to make some changes on my setup, you know a little of this and a little of that to get ready for cooler weather (97 today @beach) and a fresh reinstall of Win 7, update drivers . I also decided to redo some stuff on my 470 after a soldered lead broke off - LOL (cold joint) that I used to take reads with my DMM. I also changed resistor value a little. I flashed another bios, base clocks now @700/1401/1848 - Vantage default score P21669, these results were on 260.63 beta - still on air

about a month ago heavyhemi put out a guide to flash the bios on evga gtx470 sc cards, might want to try to find that if you are interested in doing that
