With a GTX470 at 1350 shader / 1800 memory, and an e8400 @3.6ghz: P18648 3DMarks CPU: 39448 Graphics: 15861 Does that sound about right? I noticed it looked pretty bad at the PhysX part... Maybe if I put in one of my 8800gts 512mbs it would help, but I don't know if it's even worth doing that just for benchmarking. But anyways, does my score seem normal? I'm not unhappy with it (I do have a dual core after all...), but I wonder if I can push it more. Is my GTX 470 overclock too mild? I wonder how much more I can safely push it up to for everyday use. I don't know if I want to push my e8400 much past 3.6ghz, even though I have a Tuniq Tower on it and it stays relatively cool... it still makes me a bit nervous.

The 8800GTS will kill your PhysX performance in 3DMark Vantage and your score looks right. Is your GTX 470 overclock too mild? That depends on your goal. It's not like you're going to score in the top lists on HWBot or Futuremark with your system, so all you have to do is satisfy yourself.

I want to liquid cool my cards, but found a couple of rotten trusses in my roof so that kills my budget.

I am very impressed. I came onto the forum and within an hour and a half changed my scores dramatically. i5-750 Stock + Gtx 470 Stock = 46113 CPU and 14841 GFX http://service.futuremark...8286&resultType=19 I then overclocked the i5-750 to 3.6 w/o turbo after reading a bunch of other threads, and then also decided to up my GTX 470 from 607/1215/1674 base to 800/1600/1750. So then i5-750 OC + GTX 470 OC = 57781 and 18993 http://service.futuremark...8509&resultType=19

My 470SC has started to shine with the new drivers: 258.96 Previously never got a stable clock over 850/1700/2000 but with these drivers and a fresh install on SSD's managed to pull off: KemTech----------------- i5-750@4.0------ (1) GTX470SC @ C 895 S 1790 M 2112 CPU 65678 GPU 21452 : P25795 Water Very Happy with the new drivers or install well, actually both. I guess its just the harder way of using driver sweep, reinstall FTW?
