GunslingerOCS

You will need a Classified version GPU, either 580, 680 or 780 to flash the EVBot firmware.

The $10 gem attaches to a header on the GPU to measure vgpu, ect;  It also works on a few models of EVGA motherboards for monitoring vcore, vdimm ect;

Cheers, Gunslinger...........but................when you say "flash the EVBot firmware" do you mean onto the 780 graphix card, which gives you the box with sliders in it, to alter the 3 voltages.  The "$10 gem" is then connected to the graphix card and used for monitoring?

No, you are flashing the firmware on the EVBot so that it is capable of adjusting the voltages on the 780 Classified.

The $10 gem is for hooking up a multimeter and monitoring voltages on your GPU or motherboard.

The software with the sliders is totally different, it works just like Precision or Afterburner.

The day after i ordered my phone died i think that the devil demanded a payment for allowing me to order the first batch

Yeah I saw those.  Anyone who buys those has gone full retard.  They have been in stock on both the EVGA store and Newegg all week.

I've got $300 bucks in free money at Amazon which effectively turns my new 780 Classy into a $400 card... If they would ever get any.

I think they just bought those at regular price from EVGA and is just trying to make a profit.  I don't think anyone expected EVGA to have so many in stock.  #pleasantlysurprised

Ok, I got both of my Geforce GTX 780's installed today and they are working (bought from EVGA site). I figured, time to register them, but I don't see the serial number anywhere on the box. Please tell me I am not going to have to take the computer apart again and remove both cards just to get the serial number. The serial number used to be on a sticker on the back of the box by a window that would let you compare the card with what was on the box in the old days. Is there any other way to get it?

I just received the backplates for my Classifieds.  Should I wait for the waterblocks or will I see temp drops with the backplates installed?  If so, what kind of temp drops?

No temp drops... Some say they see some temp drop, heck even I did a few years back. What I think it was, was more of a flat surface for the airflow that case had vs all the chips and soldering bumps to create turbulence with. Beyond that it is voodo...

Does the backplate even provide extra support or do anything?  I'd like to see some before/after numbers of temps/fps/etc that even warrant its existence.  Sorry, its just the scientific side of me looking for validation.  It does look cool though.

lol... There is no science to be found. Does it add rigidity to the GPU? Yes. Does it look cool? To those that think so yes. For me it is better than looking at the back of a PC board... Does it cool? nope.

So what's the benefit of reinforcing the GPU (and according to the product page, the PCB)?

Yeah if you are international like myself, this is the only option, hence the premium price.

This guy is a scum bag though, I'd pay $50 extra but now it is $130 extra. I hope no one buys them.

One up for 1300 on the bay .... Someone pays anything near that price and I might be tempted to put my two cards up for sale ... well probably not!

UPS doesn't deliver on Sat or Sun I guess so I won't get them until Monday.

So excited!

Finally I do not think it normal that on U.S. site as NEWEGG and the EVGA website U.S. the classified is always available, while for the EU it was only a day on the site. You planned 10 pieces for EU and 1000 for U.S ?
And what I find most strange is that on the official forum can not get the name of a store in EU (Nederland, Belgium, France or Germany) or it will be sold ...
Very disappointed, I will turn to another brand.

Good luck with the other brand. Oh, and I believe EVGA is an American company primarily. Obviously the US market is the primary focus for that reason as well as it being the most profitable. Economics 101.

From my past experience the US sites got them first before EVERYONE ELSE!  It's just how it is being a US based company.  If it was an EU company I'd expect US to come second in stock.  So guys please stop complaining.  They are pick binned GPUs for the classifieds hense why they come way after the reference.  STOP CRYING GUYS!  They are coming and you will have more in stock next week!  Gets very tiring seeing the same complaint over and over and OVER! lol.........gasp!

edit:
don't get me wrong evga products are top notch and limited EU stock i can understand but EVbot situation is just FUBAR. (because i really doubt there is somekind of 2x tax factor)

This is the recommended driver for the 780 Classified.

Jacob... Could you please explain why you say this is the "Recommended" Driver for the 780 Classified's?
Is there a special "Hardware" fix wrote into this driver for the classies or are you just saying this because of the testing you guys have done in house in relation to crashes and such?
