Paktai gtxjackbauer Paktai gtxjackbauer Paktai Hi, I'm currently planning to get my hands on one of those neat cards as well. Eventually I want to set it under water, which means a hydro copper water block is a must, either by buying the HC edition or the seperate water block later on. So here in Europt/Austria I guess we will have to wait for the HC edition quite a while, so I tend to stick with the air cooled version and upgrade it later on. But I have 2 questions: - Is it guaranteed that the HC water block will fit on the air cooled classified edition?
- Will the seperate water block be available in EU store? None of the others (680, titan, ...) is. So I was wondering. Not that I buy the air cooled classy but then won't be able to buy a fitting water block.
Paktai - The Hydro Copper can only fit on the reference cards. The 780 Classified Hydro Copper block will only fit on the 780 Classified. different blocks.
- If the 680 Hydro Copper blocks and 680 Classified Hydro Coppers were in Europe in the past, my guess is they will do the same with the 700 blocks.
Thanks, but I'm not satisfied yet. :) - That was my mistake. So is it guaranteed that the seperate classified HC water block will fit on the air cooled classy?
- Well, the problem is, I can't say if other hc water blocks were ever abailable here in Europe, because right know they are not. Our biggest price finder does not even list a single one. I'd like to know, if at least the EVGA EU shop will have them available, before I buy the card. If it will not be sold here, I'm forced to wait for the classified HC card.
Paktai Ok lets try again.... 1. A 780 Classified HC block will ONLY fit a air cooled 780 Classified. You will have to purchase the backplate if you choose too separately. All it is, is one comes air cooled and one comes prepared with a block on it already. Same GPU/PCB just different coolers on them. 2. The only waterblock maker I know of that makes the Classified block is Swiftech who is contracted with EVGA. No one else is allowed to make those specific blocks. BUT if you went with a regular 780 (Reference design) than most waterblock makers will make a waterblock for them. For . Thanks. I think question 1 can be set to "answered" then, since I understand that the PCB of both versions, air- and water-cooled, is the same. But I think you misunderstood my second question. I'm aware of the fact that only the official Swiftech HC water block will fit the classified versions. But my question is, will EVGA sell them through there european shop as well? I'm just worried, that right now the US shop has HC waterblocks for 680 and Titan listed in it's sortiment and ready to buy, but the EU shop doesn't even list them. IF I buy an air cooled classified beforehand I must be sure, that I can buy the water block afterwards as well. Paktai The US shop has 780 and Titan waterblocks listed, and the 780 HCs are sold out. The question for Jacob is will the Classified Hydrocopper standalone be available to the EU?

Looks like there is 2 different versions of the EVBot Flash Tools : Version 1.0.2.1 : from the EVBot Article page d/l - http://www.evga.com/articles/00521/ Version 1.0.0.2 : from Jacob's post d/l - http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1737632&high=evbot ... looks like the EVBot Flash Tool v.1.0.0.2 is for flashing the EVBot "without" an EVGA motherboard. ... & that the hex file : vga4p26.hex is the latest for the 780 Classified. Jacob - can you clarify ?

How to flash your EVBot for GTX 780 Classified using the GPU EVBot port. 1. Download the EVBot flash tool and firmware here: http://www.evga.com/articles/00521/2. Save it to a thumb drive or your desktop. 3. Plug the EVBot cable into the GPU 4. Open the flashing app, select the firmware you want to use 5. Now press and hold the power button on the top of the EVBot, continue to hold the power button as you plug the cable in the EVBot's MB port. Continue to hold the power button until the EVBot display reads "flash mode" 6. Now click "OK" on the flash app to begin the flash. The EVBot screen will flash on and off during the flash. 7. Once the flash is complete, simply unplug the EVBot and plug it back in and it's ready to use. all credit goes to strong island 1 from OCN

I was plugging the cable into the EVBot prior to going to the "flash mode" screen, which was causing my error.

You don't have to have an EVGA board to flash the EVBot ... ... you connect the cable to the EVBot in the MB port, & the other end of the cable to the 780 Classified's EVBot port. EVGA has "worked it out" to where you can flash the EVBot, via the Classified graphics card ...

http://hwbot.org/submission/2409243_ Great card on air...BUT!!! using ln2, it still runs into powertarget. That's something that, as far as i know, should be completely deactivated. I needed to use a modded bios to rech clocks higher than 1400...and 1510 is with that special modded bios max...but it's not the original ln2 bios...with that it's possible to reach 1600 and more, but running into Powertarget! That's not my intention of buying an oc card!!!

Please............ , can someone (Jacob ?) answer me this. I don't have an EVBot or an EVGA mbd. I've tried to buy an EVBot but cannot find one anywhere. If I ever get a Classy (UK........don't laugh) do I need the EVBot device to alter the Classy to what "Gunslinger" found out? If not, how is it dun on a non EVGA mbd? Where do I connect the "$10 gem" that "Gunslinger" refers to?

You will need a Classified version GPU, either 580, 680 or 780 to flash the EVBot firmware. The $10 gem attaches to a header on the GPU to measure vgpu, ect; It also works on a few models of EVGA motherboards for monitoring vcore, vdimm ect;

Cheers, Gunslinger...........but................when you say "flash the EVBot firmware" do you mean onto the 780 graphix card, which gives you the box with sliders in it, to alter the 3 voltages. The "$10 gem" is then connected to the graphix card and used for monitoring?
