I put a lot of my water cooling observations in the Classified owners thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1411500/official-evga-classified-owners-club/1330
But right now I'm running a pretty stable 1400core @ 1.3 volt. Anything over 1400 requires a lot of extra voltage, and you'll start seeing artifacts around 1436-1450. Also running skyn3t's custom bios which gives me a 130% power target. Highly recommended.
I ran the 2nd highest Valley bench score for a single card earlier (top card being LN2 Titan). Beating out tons of Titans, 780s and SLI 680s. The Classy is just amazing http://www.overclock.net/t/1360884/official-top-30-unigine-valley-benchmark-1-0/7480#post_20660204
Thanks! Will try to keep the card around 1300 I guess for 24/7 use. Anything higher will just be for benchmarking. chump7431
I have been running Blacklist at 1306 on both of my 780 classifieds on water. My guess is I will need a customer bios to go any higher.
Great to hear! Anymore info by others would be great!

Well I've got my first 780 classy sitting next to me, just waiting on there being more stock in Aus and to pickup the other 2, then I'll install them. Hoping to get some good numbers like I'm seeing in this thread. If I've read this all correctly, once WC'd or sufficiently cooled the Elpida RAM still performs reasonably well? Just higher temps? Is that correct?

a1solarnova I have same issue though at different speed. other people have report noise issues aswell. I think if ur rig is quiet enough its sticks out, maybe some people dont hear an issue with theirs or they dont have an issue. but it seems common enough that if i were u, i wouldnt worry about it. Just try setup up a fan profile that skips the fan speeds that cause the rattle/vibration. I posted a link to a skydrive file of a vid i made. Compare ur noise to that. Here is the link. Hi, I checked your video and sound is not really same but same effect. When fan is running 40-60% it's making that noise. Maybe I need contact Evga's support and ask what I can do. I think that if I send now my card to Evga, I need wait new card.

Hi again... Now I recorded that sound and this sounds the same as the other. https:// mega.co. nz/#!IJhmSSzT!Ci7rUm9tjm4Tiq1DPtZsPW3mxl0NMZcjZ4DwkUIbgyc In that file I am running fan at 45% - 57% - 80% - 90% - 100% and automatic 29%. Can anyone from Evga confirm that there is something bad batch left for sale? And if I make RMA I can get new card?

Anybody here with the CM Haf-X case having temp issues? I currently have my voltage at 1.2 and my cards idle at 50c. I think that's fairly high. I use the fancurve and witht he temps at 50c the fan speed is at 65%. Should I find a way to add more fans or should I look at getting a different case?

Ah ok link works now. That rattle sound is the same as what i get but u seem to get it more often. the sound of the fan motors sounds different than mine thogh, i would go so far to say its maybe a softer noise. So i can understand that rattle/scratching noise being annoying. Would be nice to get a response from a EVGA rep as to the cause, maybe its somthing that can be fixed by the users.

Woot just arrived! Upgrading from a 570. Can't wait to start messing with it. ASIC Quality: 77% Which is GREAT because this sucker is going under water(I think?). Sadly only air for awhile. Waiting to see how the final build quality of the new Phanteks case is before I redo everything. About 23c ambient. Card didn't go above 69c while running heaven(mostly defaults), 3dmark11(extreme). cpu is, lol, stock cooled 3770k. Ripped out my old WC setup to make way for the new goodness.

Based on what Crezno said earlier in this thread and my own experience, it's gonna be tough to run much higher than 1450 stable. I did a suicide run earlier in Valley @ 1463, but it was no way gaming stable. Artifacts start showing up right around 1450.

What did your 580 Classies idle at? Were they hot also? The reason I ask is because your Mods Rigs picture looks good on cable management but you have to remember these blow the hot air inside your case which you already know :) The only thing I can suggest is replacing your TIM and that might help temps. It brought my temps down 5c on load but only helped 1c on idle and that would not help you here with your idle temps. Are Both cards idling the same temp?

Here is what I would do if I was in your shoes :) 1) Replace the thermal paste because that always helps. These are real easy to do that with. Have you done that before? 2) I would try both intake and exhaust and see which is better. 3) If you don't want to go WC'ing and nothing works that we have talked about than the only thing I can see to do is get a new case. There are some really nice cases out there that are not alot of money that would get that hot air out of the case. Note*** The reason I would change the TIM is because I remember with my 680 Classies that one of them had a really poor application and when I changed it my temps dropped 12c. Yes.... 12c but from what I see here (along with when I replaced mine) and on other forums the application process was nicely done -- a little thick but nice. But you have to remember no matter how nice the application it still comes down to the TIM used and how thin the layer is ;)

I've never replaced the TIM on a gpu before but I've always wanted to learn/try lol. What TIM would you recommend? Also if I were to get a new case what would you recommend? I like the Corsair 800D but I feel like I would still have temp issues lol.

I removed one of the top exhaust fans and replaced it with my H100 p/p config to exhaust hot air out. I'm not understanding how my cards are idling at 25C when precision reads 50ish

jimrun is saying your cards are running 25c Above room temp... I always use MX4 for all my needs. That is just me and others will say different but it all comes down to what you like. I like MX4 because it spreads nicely and removal is easy and it does really good with temps. My opinion would be to not get the 800D case. It really is not good for your situation. I have go eat my din din (my other half is calling me) so I will look at some cases after I stuff my face LOL and will get back with you.
