Ok, so I'm over here overclocking my 780 classifieds. I'm wondering why my Valley Benchmark score is about 400 points lower with a 36mhz higher core clock lol. Anybody have any ideas? O.o

On the voltage note, I would suggest everyone read their true voltage with a DMM. I just plugged mine in and loaded up Far Cry 3 with what I think is going to be my gaming clocks - 1320 core at 1.26250V in the Classified controller. DMM voltage? 1.308-1.31 under load. That really surprised me. That said, huge shout out to EVGA on the cooler. I have a huge fan blowing on it, but I never saw over 63C after what I call a Far Cry 3 torture test where I find the highest power use spot and just leave it there for a while. No deviations from 99% usage, no deviation from 103% power use, DMM voltage of 1.31V, and a max of 63C. Kudos, EVGA!

The max I can go without an EVBOT. But my cards are doing 1385mhz core clock :o Also, during the benchmark my first card's core will flu from 1100mhz-1385 but my second card stays at a constant 1385.

If the scores are going down that's a classic sign of instability. In reality a Heaven benchmark is no where near long enough to crash instability unless it's really unstable. Most clocks that barely pass Heaven benchmark would have to be backed off 39 MHz give or take a bin to be game stable. At least that's my finding after these Classifieds, the Titans before them, and the seven 600 series cards I got my grubby fingers on.

Classifieds have 2 bios: Green light - normal bios Red light -LN2 bios There is a switch on near the white led's that determines which bios your card will use at boot up.

Do you have the clocks synced? If so, it may be that one card can't do that speed at the given voltage.

I would guess that since it was the card on the Normal bios it was throttling while the other card on the LN2 bios held steady.

Shows and actual are two different things. So far I've heard 1.5V is the max, no matter what value is set via software or EVBot, that's using the factory "LN2" bios.

So my question is most of you here are gaming on self built 2 and 3 thousand dollar setups but only game on 1080 displays... Are you afraid to venture out past 1080 or just don't want to pay $1200 + for a 30 incher...Just curious. Ive been gaming on one for 3 years now and I would never put the effort into my system to only game on those tiny 23-24 inch displays they continue to dish out. Thats always amazed me that guys would buy 2 high end cards or even 3 only to game at 1080. Boggles my mind. Btw I have a 780 classy coming from Newegg on Friday should be a nice big boost over my 3Gb 580 lightning.
