M MvdL79 OleMortenF It says shipping 14 Euro, and Grand Total 721.9 Euro. Any idea how long the shipping takes? Holy ....! That's expensive! I pre-ordered (and paid for them already) 2x GTX 780 Classifieds for ~534 Euro per card (without shipping). That's interesting. May I ask where you did buy them? Paktai

Paktai Hi they are expensive from the EVGA EU store, thats just accepted, I still have on order two 780gtx classified's with a local supplier in the UK and £587 pounds each so for one off the store I'm overpaying by just over £65.

Hi,
I'm currently planning to get my hands on one of those neat cards as well. Eventually I want to set it under water, which means a hydro copper water block is a must, either by buying the HC edition or the seperate water block later on.
So here in Europt/Austria I guess we will have to wait for the HC edition quite a while, so I tend to stick with the air cooled version and upgrade it later on. But I have 2 questions: - Is it guaranteed that the HC water block will fit on the air cooled classified edition?
- Will the seperate water block be available in EU store? None of the others (680, titan, ...) is. So I was wondering. Not that I buy the air cooled classy but then won't be able to buy a fitting water block.
Paktai
- The Hydro Copper can only fit on the reference cards. The 780 Classified Hydro Copper block will only fit on the 780 Classified. different blocks.
- If the 680 Hydro Copper blocks and 680 Classified Hydro Coppers were in Europe in the past, my guess is they will do the same with the 700 blocks.
Thanks, but I'm not satisfied yet. :) - That was my mistake. So is it guaranteed that the seperate classified HC water block will fit on the air cooled classy?
- Well, the problem is, I can't say if other hc water blocks were ever abailable here in Europe, because right know they are not. Our biggest price finder does not even list a single one. I'd like to know, if at least the EVGA EU shop will have them available, before I buy the card. If it will not be sold here, I'm forced to wait for the classified HC card.
Paktai
Ok lets try again.... 1. A 780 Classified HC block will ONLY fit a air cooled 780 Classified. You will have to purchase the backplate if you choose too separately. All it is, is one comes air cooled and one comes prepared with a block on it already. Same GPU/PCB just different coolers on them. 2. The only waterblock maker I know of that makes the Classified block is Swiftech who is contracted with EVGA. No one else is allowed to make those specific blocks. BUT if you went with a regular 780 (Reference design) than most waterblock makers will make a waterblock for them. For Example. famich It is always the silicon lottery and the luck of the draw , but Classifieds got better parts and , maybe, better binned chips. From my understanding and has been said before, the Classifieds are cherry picked binned GPUs. Meaning you're getting the best GK110-300 GPU on a bigger PCB with dual bios than compared to all the other cards who only have one bios. Classifieds also give you more and cleaner power 14+3 Power phases (Great OCing ability) as compared to regular 6+2. Source

PWM helps a lot, regarding that binning : imagine how much would that cost the company. I have read these rumours again and again , they were IMHO never officially confirmed.

Cost what? You're just saying they take the waffles and slap them to whatever brand? Nope, I don't think so. Than answer me this. How would you answer to the clocks Classifieds pull when IF you're lucky on a reference you might get close otherwise you're behind? The average OC on a 780 Hydro I've seen was around 1150-1200. If I might be mistaken I think someone went as high as 1250. Classifieds tuned right will push 1300-1350+ on air and water.

Costs of the labor , binning machines etc : it s called the production costs. I seem to recall that EVGA admitted binning the "batches " of chips, not just single ones. But, really, I do not know this exactly . You could try it over in the U.S., but here in EU they just bring a handful of them for a higher price / see 699 USD versus 700 Euros /, so the chance to get one and try it is a bit slim -)

Not trying to argue with you sir but you're contradicting with your original statement basically saying that you don't believe the chips are binned because it would cost too much and now saying that they do. The binned chips on the FTW/Classys cost more than the reference and clock better. Still puzzled with what you're trying to say. Correct me if I am wrong fellas but I believe Jacob or someone from EVGA once told us that the FTW/Classys were binned picked GPUs.

I think question 1 can be set to "answered" then, since I understand that the PCB of both versions, air- and water-cooled, is the same. But I think you misunderstood my second question. I'm aware of the fact that only the official Swiftech HC water block will fit the classified versions. But my question is, will EVGA sell them through there european shop as well? I'm just worried, that right now the US shop has HC waterblocks for 680 and Titan listed in it's sortiment and ready to buy, but the EU shop doesn't even list them. IF I buy an air cooled classified beforehand I must be sure, that I can buy the water block afterwards as well. Paktai

Hi. I was wondering if anyone from the staff or members knows when (or if) this card will become avaible in Romania. Our main hardware shops are pcgarage.ro and emag.ro. Any ... ANY chance they will become avaible there ? If not does anyone have other ideas about good(trustworthy) online shops outside of Romania that would deliver TO Romania ?? I've tried looking at the UK and German sites but not much luck (neither avaibility nor information about wether or not they ship to Romania exept maybe scan.co.uk altough I still can't find anywhere to say if they deliver or not here ... ).

EVGA really needs to step up their production of Classified 780's because until MSI Lightining comes along they have no equal in terms of quality and OC ability and pure epicness(extended PCB xD).
