Finally some news, I wait this card so long and yesterday I got message from firm where I order to prepare second half of money because guy bought me 780 Classified Dual ACX in Germany. Caseking or EVGA Europe I don't know... and he came in Serbia next week and bring my card. I' completely crazy. I didn't count to wait so long. I order immediately and backplate but that will came 3 weeks after card. I stop to read GK110 topics because everybody who know something talk everything best about this card. I don't remember when people was satisfied over net as with GK110 and than I'more nervous. :) We are so poor country in Serbia no 780 at all. Nothing, I didn't know but guys wait more than month on distributors to import only 10 cards for people who want.

Hey guys, anybody else's Classy ACX cooler get really noisy around 65-85% Below 65%, all you hear of the fan whoosh. Then above that a pulsating vibration type sound like a bad fan bearing comes alive. Neither fan is loose though. Get back over 85% and it goes away. Problem is that my card spends most of it's time in that area. I don't want to rma if it won't help but this card won't be with me long making that noise.

That is worse option when you get example excellent sample of card and something happen with cooler. I would send only bad cooler not whole card...

HAHA ok, thats what I kinda thought. Just sold my XB build with the two 680 classified cards. Had a CM 1300watt in that machine. Wanted to go with a slightly smaller one this time. Problem is, I want the EVGA 1000 PSU but according to Corsair the 540 carbide will only take a 200mm PSU and the 1000watt evga is a tad to long. I looked and do not see anything in the case that would stop it from fitting per say but hate to order it and not fit.. :( guess I might go with a HX1050 or another CM newer v1000...

ugg.... well that's kinda false advertising then . It cleary show a pic where it have a backplate. I'm trying to figure it out, cause then i rather buy a reference model.
I can't add links but if you go to amazon.com USA, please check the 780 Classy, one of the pics show a backplate, i guess i'll try to conctact amazon to inform this issue.
That is pretty bad form on Amazon's Part... I'd contact them and ask them directly. Maybe they know something I don't.
But to my knowledge they don't come with backplates.
The 3 I bought certainly didn't!
I would still recommend getting one though, they are great cards and have serious performance when coupled with some decent cooling. But if you're going to keep the ACX cooler on it. Have you considered the FTW version? Runs cooler, save a few $$'s by not having the extra VRM's that you won't really be using.
Both a very nice cards and have a great application in water or air cooling respectively in my humble opinion.
FYI, Looks like Amazon removed the photo showing the backplate now, so the gallery on there should accurately reflect what you're getting in the box. As always, hit me up if you guys spot anything else out of whack on Amazon.

From one side I understand people because with backplate is much better. But from other side I understand and EVGA. Because some people bought 2-3 graphics and than they remove plate because temps and leave only on one. They don't use that and company pay. OK is selling in shop as accessories.

Acx. Running 1254 core 7000 memory stock bios/voltage so far with no crashes in games yet. Coil whine is a bit bad tho and the fans are randomly resonating even in the low 50% range

Interesting... Yes mine does the exact same thing. However I never run the fan that high (I leave mine on auto) so I'm not really worried about it. When it breaks I'll take the time to RMA it.
For those with noise coolers check this post: http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=2018526
