LearjetMinako Guess we'll be starting tonight. Which is perfect for CST as the GPU will be uploading a juicy WU at that time.
I don't think it starts tonight. It starts tomorrow Dec 1 at 12 midnight East time 28 hours from now. It did not say 12.00 AM Dec 1st 4 hours from now. Right?
seems a bit strange to miss the first day of the month tho. Suggestion to the organisers - should be able to add a countdown clock to the site fairly easily. Might avoid this confusion over which midnight we are starting.

Or use an exact time like 12AM Dec 1st. I take things too literally. Midnight is in the middle of the night, and you have to have a day before it becomes night. But then again I think things through too much.

007quick - Thanks for the heads up - We'll have to put a placeholder in for you until your first points post, but we're good! Thanks for the info!
Also, 9pm EST has come and gone, the stats are locked in, I'm turning the keys until they don't turn any further, then locking them into place! As far as official start time, I'm just firing my rigs up to max and letting em rock! I suggest everyone else do the same! Let's crush us some proteins! And, lads and ladies, All Time Zone affiliations aside, let's have a great time and kick some unsuspecting disease right in between the eyes! FOLD ON!!! d

Oops, sorry for causing mass panic of when it starts.
Got a winter cold air blast tonight. Was a nice 70's degree day. Now it's below freezing and still getting colder.
As for if a power outage should occur, I'll just hookup the generator. I've done it before when tornados took out the power grid to keep on folding. As long as the Internet stays up, I can continue on backup power.

That is true, so right now it is Dec 1st 1:51 AM in the morning. So midnight Dec 1st is 22 hours and 09 min away. Even tho it is still dark out it is morning here in NY tonight is not here yet. On Halloween the witching hour is 12 midnight Oct 31st, that is after all the kids go trick or treating, and are home in bed. Not the night before. Taxes have to be post marked by midnight on April 15, that is April 15 11:59:59pm Any how I fired up my systems and they are folding away.

As per the US government, taxes have to be post marked by Midnight April 15 of the year. My local post office stays open to 11:59:59 on April 15 (Midnight) Midnight April 15 is not the night of the 14th. If it is postmarked April 16th it is late. Here is a pic of the Tax software saying what I just said. Do you not agree with the USPS and the IRS and turbotax? https://turbotax.intuit.c...ax-Dates/INF12059.html

Interesting, is midnight the end or beginning of the day? 12:00 AM implies it is the beginning since AM is in the morning. We toast New Years on Dec 31st at Midnight, the end of the day. Here is a WIKI defn: Midnight marks the beginning and ending of each day in civil time throughout the world. It is the dividing point between one day and another. With 12-hour time notation, authorities recommend avoiding confusion between noon and midnight by using "midnight", "12 midnight", "12 mi", or "12:00 midnight." [1]In the United States and Canada, digital clocks and computers commonly display 12 a.m. right at midnight. While that phrase may be used practically, it helps to understand that any particular time is actually an instant. The "a.m." shown on clock displays refers to the 12-hour period following the instant of midnight, not to the instant itself, because at that time, you are looking at clocks midnight has already passed and the period before noon (a.m.) of a new day has begun. In other words, 11:59 p.m. shows until midnight; at the instant of midnight, it changes to 12:00. Simultaneously, the p.m. changes to a.m., though, strictly speaking, a.m. does not apply to the instant of midnight which separates p.m. and a.m. In 24-hour time notation, "0:00" and "0:00:00" refer to midnight at the start of a given date. Some styles, such as ISO 8601, allow 24:00 to refer to the end of a day. Noon is 12:00:00.

am·big·u·ous amˈbiɡyo͞oəs/ adjectiveadjective: ambiguous(of language) open to more than one interpretation; having a double meaning. "the question is rather ambiguous" unclear or inexact because a choice between alternatives has not been made. "this whole society is morally ambiguous" I found that too when I was looking but I did find this. Look at the wording on when the last time you can order this product. http://www.vitriolrecords...-dec-1-midnight-nov-30My last thought on this matter. I am just glad I was not the only one not sure. I take it Midnight is the start time to make it easy on the stat collection I take it. So it must be the way the stat pages are set up I am willing to bet. To heck with the IRS and USPS But really this is my first time doing this, I guess no one really had to stop folding and start at the starting time anyway. Right? I just did not want to bunker or do some thing wrong. I am sorry if I caused any confusion.

He's referring to the fact that core 18's are not optimized for Maxwell cards. I get about 1/3 potential points I think. (haven't gotten 1 in a while). After core 15 to start the contest, I'm on third 9201.
