Registrations were not closed from what I see in the rules (extract below).
"Registration will begin October 10th and continue for the duration of the contest."

Looks like the only thing that is forfeited via registration after the contest begins if being eligible for the prizes.

You know what is really awesome that ALL the team in the TZC can feel good about?

Take a look at these numbers:

The week the challenge started (10/23) we produced over 9,000,000 more than our next highest in the last 12 weeks. That's awesome. From the looks of it, we're also on pace for another great week as well.

It just goes to show the dedication and potential this team possesses....no matter what time zone they live in.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

Just getting back into the swing of things after the great storm here in the NE - I only lost two hours of stats due to connectivity problems that were Time Warner's fault, personally.

However, seeing how steady our overall performance for the contest is has been frigging AWESOME!! This is why we do the work we do to arrange these contests.  I LOVE to see when we crush previous records and leave Work Units BEGGING for mercy!

Wow, I'm getting a little shaky on folding right now! My computer has frozen for (seemingly) no reason a few times this morning... Not looking good for me

It started happening after Windows update ran. It always seems to screw me up! Anybody else have this issue? (Running W7)

I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @2.33 GHz, with 2GB RAM, and my GTX 560 Ti (1GB). Only thing that's OC'ed is the GPU. I have a roomy Cooler master 430 GLite case for it, and heat isn't an issue.
It's just a basic Dell computer, with the case and GPU upgraded It's kind of sad, I know.

EDIT: Also, I could hear my GPU whining like normal when I am folding. It's just that the computer locked up, and wouldn't respond to any user input/and screen was frozen.

Are you using the Dell PSU? You stated temps were good, that was my next question. WOnder if the stock PSU is overwhelmed....

Has the PC been running well before the folding?

Oops, well I seemed to forget mentioning my 550W PSU And yes, it has been running flawlessly for me. I've stressed it beyond belief in the past.

It could be your CPU or even the GPU needs a bit more voltage. I also have my windows update set to notify me of new updates but does not install them unless I authorize it.

I will either find a way, or make one.

Today is a record setting day for folding@evga.  Today, we have produced our highest team PPD in a single day EVER!  (Oh, and did I mention that there is still one more update to drop?)  Someone fill us in on the final point total, I won't be around to see it until I wake up:

OK, I have to take advantage of the nice weather today and tomorrow. My netbook will be the only folder until then. If I don't get my case done now i'll never get to it till it warms up again. Don't be angry at me :) it will be less than 24 hours.
