Hope to hit 4 million before the month is over :D! challenges always helped us to break our personal records. one more reason for us to love 'em!

Because of the TZC I managed to get 300k in one month, that's by far the highest I've ever got. If my CPU would stop locking up it would've been a fair amount higher. I lost a total of probably 24 hours of folding due to lock ups and me not noticing it.

If I were him, I wouldn't use a random number thing from the internet. To make it more fun I would actually get a top hat and hand-write each contestant's name on (equally sized) pieces of paper, and do it the old-fashioned way. With pictures!

As noted in my original statement and reiterated by others, the list currently on the webpage simply displays those who are eligible. The drawing will take place Thursday evening around 9 or 10 PM EST. As I have done in the past, it will be streamed live so everyone can see the results as they unfold. Sorry to disappoint, but I do not have a webcam (nor an old-fashioned top hat) and therefore would not be able to do anything as dramatic as pulling names from a hat. So unless someone has a spare webcam, its going to be a rng.

This was done before and was video taped and everything. It was kinda cool I would like something like that again also. Troy it doesn't have to be a hat or a web cam, don't you have a phone or a friend with a phone with video. It doesn't have to be some HD great production value thing either.

I'd like to see the drawing televised live worldwide, with a monkey pulling numbers from one of those air-circulated-ping-pong-ball gizmos, handing the ball to a talking dog that announces the number, with Vanna White then spelling out the member name on the big Wheel of Fortune display. Back to reality now - troy has done enough work on this thing already. The point of the challenge was to build folding production, participation and competition, not give out prizes. I don't want him to spend a lot of time on the prize drawing myself.

The exciting part was the competition itself! And anyway, the problem itself would be HOW to get a live stream for it. It usually takes days to sort through, and for everybody to get a crack at the prize bin. It would be ridiculous to try and get everybody together at the same time to watch it, and wait for their turn Just sayin'.

the rng is run live and the list is drawn up from it and people at the start draw first some people pass (some people won't be on the list even tho they are eligible because they withdrew themselves) I myself will probably pass on most of it I don't need games, paypal $$, or old hardware (since Im almost at the point of my new build) unlikely I'll be at the top for either Bigadv...but if I did win would go to good use folding. It would slightly delay my sr3 rig too.

You can add me to the "pass" list. I'm OK without the items on the list. And as for the bigadv rigs, it would be nice to snag one, but I don't have the capability to run it all the time, it should go to someone who could.

The monkey and talking dog I can handle, but its going to be hard to get Vanna on such short notice. She got pretty upset last time I did not let her know at least week in advance. Sorry Punchy.
