Think we're both having some fun with CST's state of the competition, but, I am puzzled over one of my 5187 pointers not appearing to be credited ... dropped at 8:37 CST according to the log file and everything uploaded ok I think.  On EOC stats tracking, 2 SMP units are showing up at 9 a.m., but, no 5187 pointer ... not even at 12 p.m.  And, my total EOC points are matching the Stanford total as of 12 p.m.

I'm new at this, so, can anyone enlighten me as to what I'm missing or how I can check on where the 5187 pointer went to?  And, don't tell me it's been stolen by ECT ...

Check again. It is probably credited. If not, you should post a project number with the run, clone, and generation numbers at the Folding Forum so someone can check to see if it was returned to the proper server.

Im in the same boat...EOC doesn't have them posted yet

I don't get too excited when EOC doesn't post them since they appear to lag a bit, but, I've always been able to confirm my totals at Stanford, i.e. if my Stanford total is 5187 points higher, then I know EOC will pick it up on their next update ... this is the first time that I have not seen Stanford's update include a borderline completed unit, and, it still has not shown up.

I really don't have all that many completed units and I'm new and like watching the totals grow ... I can't fathom how the folks producing large quantities of work units keep track and know if a unit or two disappears into cycberspace.
One more newbie question:  Are we in the folding forum Macaholic speaks of, or, is there another forum somewhere that I should post the work unit information if I'm still clueless after the 3 p.m. EOC update ... link anyone?

I'm plugging along with some legacy running without a CPU fan.  I'm also boosting the desk up an inch.

Yes, I have logs for all WUs completed ... including the WU that dropped this morning that I can't see ever being credited to my user account at EOC or Stanford.  Any suggestions other than posting the information at http://foldingforum.org/index.php?

Also, if my only option at this point is to post, should I post it under the "Issues with a specific WU" topic?

You can check for the two most common reasons that credit isn't given.  First, triplecheck that the user name and team id are correct.  Second, look in previous logs and see if you already folded that same WU.  That can happen for a variety of reasons.  If so, you won't get credit the second time.

I posted your No credit issue too
try posting info here

in the mean time my team is gonna have to wait...the last credited drop was 1am MST
9 am was lost(no show)...now I have to see if my 5 PM went thru

punchy:
Why would my info change? - I haven't done anything myself to change it

I suspect either their goof
or lost in upload (somehow I got a completed -good and the WU wasn't completely uploaded - internet loss)

Im not expecting my points' I'd be surprised
just that 2 of us had it this morn sounded like a server issue

I had one drop around noon today that showed up in both point totals ... had the same server as the missing work unit.  Have two more that should drop before midnight CST and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Did you notice at the end of the log file you posted at foldingforum.org - "server has already received unit"?  You won't get credit in that case.
P.S.  When you post a log file section there, put it between the CODE tags so your post won't take up the entire page.

2WU in a row lost...
maybe the last submission was a repeat of the first one that I lost..
It Still stinks..no matter how you cut it
anyways if there is an issue they can find it

I never expected points...you luck out when you get them back
the issue is to find the problem causing it, ....so no more get lost

That and/or eliminate "completed steps" 6% through 94%.  That is really pretty superfluous in most cases.  Just insert a nice little ---SNIP--- in between.  All the important info is contained in the sending and receiving part of the log for instances like this.

Just to follow up, my next 5187 point work unit on the same rig dropped just before 10 p.m. CST and was included on Stanford's hourly update ... same server too.  So, at least I avoided your fate and I'm only down 1WU.

Ok, I've posted the complete log over there, but, I get a message saying the moderator has to approve it before it will appear ... that's probably why none of my other postings have shown up.  You might want to send them a message over there that the complete log they are looking for is awaiting the moderator's approval.  My user name over there is the same:  willyray.

I guess I can always post the complete log here for you to copy and post over there ... let me know.

How 'bout those Redbirds ... pay notice Team CST, never give up!
