he GTX 780 Ti is quite the graphic card, Nvidia’s flagship to be precise, however the one thing it lacks in is its video memory. With a meager 3GB of VRam, the GTX 780 TI could not realize its true potential. Back before the GTX 780 Ti KingP|N was released, everyone assumed it would be 6GB but that was sadly not the case. However we have got word that Nvidia has completed preparations for the GTX 780 Ti Launch.

Nvidia Prepping the GTX 780 Ti 6GB Edition for Launch – Waiting for Titan Inventory to Clear Up.

We have just received information that AIC Partners are waiting for the GTX Titan inventory to clear up. After that happens the GTX 780 Ti 6 GB will be released. The stock of the GTX Titan is already in a somewhat slow trickle state because of the launch of the GTX 780 Ti. We believe that one of the major reasons why no 6GB version has been released yet is so that people still have sufficient reason to buy the GTX Titan. According to our sources as soon as the GTX Titan Inventory Status clears up the 780 Ti 6GB Variant will start shipping.
Of course 6GB of VRam will allow the 780 Ti to utilize its full potential. We have seen that the Ti’s 3GB Memory causes some serious bottle-necking in some games while in 4k Resolution. We see that the Current Gaming trend is moving towards a 4k Standard and where resolution is concerned, the more VRam, the merrier. Not only that, but with the increased VRam, SLI configurations should gain more power. Ofcourse, professionals would gain the most benefit from the added memory, but for some reason or the other , the 780 Ti is just not as good with Compute as the Titan is.
We expect that the GTX 780 Ti 6GB Edition should start shipping in a short time span.

    LOLz,
Syed Muhammad Usman Pirzada states "3GB Memory causes some serious bottle-necking in some games while in 4k Resolution"

I can't find one person who stated this serious issue in the pro reviews or personal.  I predict if this come to light, it will be slower and not OC as well as it's 3GB younger brother.

Awesome, yet nonetheless I'm really getting fed up with Nvidia's practices as of late if this is true re: all these quick refreshes coming out and big price drops. If it is a Titan refresh that's different, as it offers a couple features the Ti lacks and is due for a refresh. But a new Ti edition this quickly just ticks me off. I've had bad experiences with AMD's mobile offerings in the past and have avoided them (desktop and mobile) since, but I'm itching to grab a pair of Asus DCII 290x's to try AMD again and something like this might sway me over to the other side. I get that big N's goal is to make money, as is the goal of every business. But this just really rubs me the wrong way if true.

For me is more interesting custom model than reference with 6GB. So much news about graphic cards.
This is really joking and with EVGA and with other producers, I mean guys prepare card to present something special, now 6GB model available.
That's NVIDIA games, simply presentation of GTX780Ti was so fast after R9-290X as they prepare and PCB and chips.
I don't know why they give 3GB first only and now same is with 6GB. But answer for that is well known.
I would like to see GTX780Ti KP Classified 6GB for 800-850e to finish with suffering and close graphic card page for next 24 months.

I don't see how that's accurate when it has already been leaked "Nvidia is deciding against a GTX 780 Ti 6GB." I don't know this to be true at all.

This is rumor. Just like most things in life, if it has not hit the market, it's fiction. These seem to come out around CES in Vegas as media grabs snipets to sell ads and drive traffic. If they do this, or not, it will most likely be a response to what AMD does. Not sure there is an issue with 3GB of DDR5 memory over 6. That was a very humerous statement. There is much that needs to happen until you can actually use and take advantage of UHD in computers, games, TVs, and broadcasting. By the time there is good content, the GPUs and cards will be much different to better manage the needs of these resolutions, so it would be best to replace the entire card but that is about 5 years away, IMO. G-sync is an interesting thing given the price point and abilities.

Jacob seemed pretty adamant in his prior statements that it was unknown whether or not a 6GB 780/780Ti would exist, but obviously he, most likely, wouldn't have been able to say anything anyway even if he did know.  I would have figured that nVidia was saving their higher GB models for Maxwell to give people a reason to actually buy the first-gen models, but then again... who knows.

The source is a tech gossip website.  Look how inaccurate the information is here on the GTX700 series launch and the comments that follow.  They just stir emotions to get hits on their website.

Yes, rumors! But as far as equipping a powerhouse such as the 780ti wi 6gb, only need a single card to run surround 1080p. Sli these puppies for big dogs using surround 1600p

The Titan had enough power, but seemingly nowhere near the 780ti. If this does come to light, I will be curious about the temps, on air of course.

    I agree
seems like you have to wait to buy nvidia cards just before they become EOL to have all the models /features release not from a tech. stand point but from nvidia marketing.
thats ok from a $500.00 price point , but not from a $1k-2k ++++[sli] level.
when maxwell comes I would say 2016-2017 should be the time to buy ,when all the sku's are released.

Well I guess you can supply your rig with vaporware. One day your will actually git-r-dun. If you need 6 GB of video memory maybe you should reconsider your expectations as there has only been one card released by nVidia with this configuration and less than a year later a new card with half that memory outperforms it. Maybe it's a money grab, but if there was enough business to warrant this, it would be here by now. Not sure there are more than 5 people worldwide who want to play a game with 6 monitors at 3k or higher resolution. Anyway, too each his own. Maybe I will buy nVidia stock so I can make some money on your willingness to pay $1,500 per graphics card.

By the time there is good content, the GPUs and cards will be much different to better manage the needs of these resolutions, so it would be best to replace the entire card but that is about 5 years away, IMO. G-sync is an interesting thing given the price point and abilities.

My willingness? I never said I would pay for one let alone 1500. Go read some reviews on the titan @ 1600p and 4k. Wait, go look at titan reviews at 1200p. Meh.
