I miss the day where I bought my new ATi 9800 XT 256MB AGP 8x card that came with a voucher for Half-Life 2.... for $249.99 LoL !!! Seeing all this speculation for a GTX 1080 for $1000+ just seems sickening. I hope AMD forces Nvidia to a pricing war when they release their cards for a much lower price. Still love my GTX 970, but it would be nice to play fallout 4, and all of this years games maxed out on 2560x1440.

Imagine that that could be the new Titan.... Which is right near the price of the old Titan.
I'm don't think Nvidia is going to do a 450 price hike for the 1080, unless it is fully replacing the Titan, and the Titan line is dead after the Titan x.

Rumors can't even agree that the x80 will use HBM2 or GDDR5x, so how can you expect any accuracy on pricing? Pricing will of course also be affected by how well AMD's next generation of chips performs too of course. Scarlet-Tech Imagine that that could be the new Titan.... Yeah, sites have mistaken Titan pricing in past launches for the x80 parts so it would not be the first time. The Titan branding is very well established, I don't see NVIDIA dropping it now. Even if the "Titan P" sounds a bit off...

Well you may have to wait then for the big boy GP100 fully enabled. GTX 1080 will likely be a fully enabled GP104, kinda like the GTX980 is a full GM104, and GTX 680 is a fully GK104

+1. I would not be so optimistic, as a lot of you are, about these cards being that "affordable". 8gb+ VRAM on a new type of memory at $549.99 for a 1080? Pfffff. Right.

$1,000 would be high. I would estimate around $850, to be honest. I might be way off, but with them pushing this card, and with the hype, and the "new" memory type, you know they're going to push the price as hard as they can. That is my anticipation. We can't be too optimistic, because when we see the final results, that is where we get disappointed.

I have $750 earmarked for a 1080(ti) hybrid, so that's what I'm expecting(650 base +$100 for the hybrid version premium on it), but no way to know for sure til they announce the price, I'm expecting the highest non-titan to be between 500 and 750, unless they decide to do something very different with their pricing structure.

The 980ti, which is slightly cut down with half the VRAM of a Titan x was $649. I don't see the 1080 being higher than that. Either way, the speculation/assumptions in this thread and all over the Internet is hilarious.

So either such announcements will be made later on in the week or delayed maybe until Computex. I was very surprised there were no announcements at all for the consumer market.
