I have posted Tank vs hard drive, and the tanks always win. BUT, not the case here. That is a hard drive standing on end, and supporting the weight of an armored vehicle. The hard drive to its left did not fair as well... Lets see if anyone can identify the vehicle?

I've heard of DOD software used to erase data on a hd, however I have never before seen a hardware solution to the issue.

Are you speaking of field artillery when you say "redleg"? (Hey, I'm a Marine....not Army)

It was the Paladin. M109. Rudster wins :P I try the hard drives with the Abrams, but the Abrams ALWAYS wins. When its Hard drive vs Paladin, there was an obvious winner. Abrams 70 tons, Paladin under 30 tons. Abrams is still the champ.

And the point of hard drive being able to support the weight of a tank is.........? I must be missing something. When I was in the Air Force I flew on many different kinds of planes. The C5 Starlifter was the biggest at the time, maybe still is. But one of the crew told me the coffee pot on the plane cost $50,000 to design and build because one of the specs was that it had to be able to withstand 50 Gs. I was impressed until he laughed, and said 'yeah, when we crash dead into the ground from 40,000 feet, if we survive we can all have a cup of coffee'. Made me think a Mr Coffee Coffee Maker would probably be just fine and only cost about $30. DOD money at work. LOL

rcranfield And the point of hard drive being able to support the weight of a tank is.........? I must be missing something. Its a machine of war...designed to destroy things. The 30 ton paladin couldn't destroy a hard drive. Takes all the fun out of it if you have to explain.
