Hi,
I have a feeling that this question is a dumb one but I can't figure it out.
I have an EVGA GTX 580 in my PC and I just upgraded my monitor to a BenQ BL3200.
The monitor keep showing that the recommended resolution should be 2560x1440 and I looked on the specs of the video card and it is supported but when I click on the desktop to change the resolution the highest option I have is 1920x1080.
They are connected through the HDMI output but I also tried the DVI just in case and there's no difference.
Display drivers are installed and the card driver is whichever came out before the 344.75 (which I'm downloading at the moment)
Thanks,

Try changing the resolution inside the nvidia control panel.

    Thanks Sajin!!!
Yes that worked out. I had to add custom resolutions and it did work but the text is not as crisp for every day use so I stuck to this resolution and then I'll change it inside the games to the highest one in the game menus.
    Thanks again!

that's a high resolution ferincr. both tv and monitors can have a software/firmware upgrade which can fix some of those conflicts and some monitors are stuck with low refreshrates unless you upgrade. many factory refreshrates are set a max of 72hz even when the description of the monitor may say up to 200+hz. if your monitor/tv says it can run at a higher refreshrate rate and it don't then it is capable with an upgrade. it can fix your clarity issue if this is the case. I had to do it with my samsungs and after I did the upgrade the picture was much better at resolutions over 2200x ****. the upgrade is not noticeable at low resolutions like 1024x768 but is a huge improvement at high resolutions and color improvement as well. I let geek squad do my upgrade at best buy.
