Kasson said there was a shortage of A3's today but that they were getting ready to release "hundreds" of new projects.  If you've got the latest client, a passkey and are using -advmethods, there isn't much else you can do.

I'm not folding using -advmethods because I'm on a Core2Duo and am using my computer during the day.

Are there going to be non -adv work units for -SMP?

yes, you can run it on a q67. I´ve been running it with a q66 (@ stock 3000-3500 ppd with the A3s and 2 gpu clients)

prolly you´re still working on a A1. Iirc that´s what I got on them back then. You can add the -advmethods on your start up shortcut, just after the -smp. And don´t forget the passkey ( and the 10 wu before you get the bonus and the 80% completion rate) ,

edit: sorry those 2k where with a q9650 at stock clocks the q9650 at stock with the A3s got me 4500 to 5000 ppd with 3 gpus and even more without the gpus

yeah, just add the -advmethods in your shortcut, there is a line in the client config as well, but I prefer it there (makes it easier to change things)

just remember, you have to restart the client for the change to take effect

so is there still no SMP work to do?

I had to delete some of the setup files and reconfigure the SMP client to work, but it currently go a WU  6025.

Any estimates already? Project 6025 is one of the better ones (ppd wise)

Halfway done with my 4th A3 work unit for today, and that's after MS flippin' auto-installed updates and restarted me while I slept in the wee hours of the morn.  Night before last I couldn't get a WU, yesterday morning I couldn't either.  Been getting one right after the next yesterday afternoon through now, excepting unforseen auto-update complications...

dang, looks like it caught up. I just had an 8500pt update.

With the new A3s on the -advmethods, it´s enough to run one instance across all 4 cores.
Whether you still get better ppd by running 2 instances I don´t know. Just remember, on those wu the faster you return it , the more points you get.
