So, I had already built an X99 Micro 2 build with 980ti's but never got around to posting it. I ended up giving it to my oldest son and have been playing on my Z97 as of late. My #2 son decided to go all out and do an identical build and I decided to match it. 
 
After some thought and consideration I have decided to rename the rigs. As we all know Wrinvert passed a few weeks back and he was a good friend of mine. He is also the first one to welcome me to the EVGA community as well as teach me the wonders of water cooling. So in his honor my rig will be named after him and the boy will pick his own name out. From here on out my rig will be called Wrinvert.

It's weird, ordered these the same day as I ordered the video cards (from the egg) and these came in first... From EK, in Slovenia. The pumps and radiators which I had to end up ordering from EK as well will also be here tomorrow (the same day as the video cards).

It will be a very nice build when you're done. I think I see it maybe... UV green Primochill tube? There couldn't be a better tribute man. Enjoy your build, Will be waiting for updates. Lucky kids BTW...

I would have loved to start putting this together today but there has been a mix up. I ordered FTW's and got regular 1080's. Wont know till later today if they will get my new ones out in time to build this weekend. So very unhappy right now. And apparently I am the 2nd person that called today with the same issue.
 
Edit: Found out now that the 1080 FTW DTs sometimes come in 1080 boxes. We are good and now we proced.

When you check to see that the serial numbers match on the box and card, before opening the box, just take the model number and check and see what it is
