I bought a GTX 1070 yesterday and happily installed the card with zero problems. Now I registered my card and I can't download and play Gears of War 4 just because my product ends in a "B" instead of an "R" for the SAME PRODUCT. Great way to falsely advertise EVGA by saying ALL 1080s AND 1070s will receive a free copy.

I received an automated ticket, this is a play on the product code since it ends in "KB" instead of "KR". It's the same card as the "KR" model, but ends in "KB".

I'm sorry that there's some confusion on the part numbers and the game codes. A "KB" part is a Best Buy product. It may be a different part number, as some of the cards sold there may be exclusives like the Fallout 4 Edition 970. The "KR" simply means a 3-year warranty. The promotional codes are disbursed by Nvidia, they make the terms of the promotion, choose the partners/retailers that are participating, the dates it's valid through, and the regions it's valid in. The page here shows the retailers and partners that are participating in the promotion. If you check the promotion site, it does say: This request form is ONLY for purchases FROM EVGA.com. Since you purchased the card from Best Buy, it's not eligible for a code from our store. You'll need to contact Best Buy Customer Service to find out if they're participating in the promotion, and to receive your code if they are.

As I'm quite sure EVGA informed you of, the promotion is run by Nvidia and the codes are provided directly to participating retailers for the purchase of a qualifying product, which is Nvidia's own choice in which models qualify. EVGA is simply a participant in the promotion, just like any other retailer, they only get codes from Nvidia for products purchased directly from their own webstore. This would be the same for any participating manufacturer, since individual manufacturers are not hosting the promotion.

Yeah always buy direct from Evga! @Best Buy, sells 100$ HDMI's, their is no reason anyone, should ever be con'd into buying a $100 HDMI!! EVER!!!! Literally/Physically no difference between a 25$ HDMI cable and $100 HDMI cable. This is why Best Buy should be out of business, they're full or lairs and con artists!! The other thing we saw was a 100ft Cat6 "patch cable" at BB.........are you kidding me?? 100 ft "patch cables???" Anyway gl, maybe give BB a call, and they'll toss in a free game for the trouble!

The Nvidia site clearly states the etail/retail partners for this promo... Best Buy is NOT listed.
The promo is run by and administered by Nvidia.... The claim "Great way to falsely advertise EVGA by saying ALL 1080s AND 1070s will receive a free copy."
is bogus because someone failed to read the rules.

i bought evga gtx 1080 on 9/19/2016 from newegg ebay store. and when i asked about promo, they said what they sell on ebay ( even under newegg which the place i bought from )is not included. well is kind of bummer if ,i know that i would bought it directly from newegg.com in first place.

The request for the promotional code will need to be processed. We must verify the purchase first then we will send you the code via email once it has been accepted. Please make sure that you have purchased the card direct from EVGA's online web store. Only an expiration date: http://promotions.newegg.com/nvidia/16-6015/index.html No dice. Not sure what I expected, but they sent me a promo for...Paragon? Not familiar with the game, but it looks like a bonus item AFTER you buy the base game. That's not really the same as a new triple-A title.

That is correct. The Paragon promotion preceded the Gears of War 4 promotion which contained a lot of add on content for the game. The Gear of War 4 promotion requires that you purchase the card on or after September 20th, 2016. Since these are Nvidia sponsored promotions, it is the original place of purchase's responsibility to provide these codes to qualifying purchases.

Paragon is free to play. The $150 in credit is for in game purchases basically.

I bought a 1070 SC at Best Buy yesterday with the KB p/n(they still price-matched Amazon) They asked for my email address at checkout and the code was emailed to me instantly from Best Buy. Their website shows the promotion on the product page so I would get in touch with them if they didn't send it.

According to your registered product, it shows it was purchased somewhere other than the EVGA online store. I'm also unable to find any orders from our online store under your account.
I do see that you've requested your code, and it's awaiting approval, but unless you purchased the card directly from the EVGA online store, your request will be rejected.

If you purchased from EVGA store, please upload your receipt. It would also help if you black out your information and post the receipt here so we can help you get this taken care of. Please make sure the vendor information is not blacked out. Erin pointed out that they don't see an order under your account, so there may be a technical issue that needs to be resolved. Did YOU purchase the card from EVGA, or did a friend/family member purchase it for you under a different account? If so, they would need to request the code for you.

The Promo Started on the 20th, the day after you got your card on the 19th. Valid only for purchases on or after September 20th, 2016

It depends on where you purchased the product. Best Buy will print the promo code on the receipt. Others like Amazon will email the code to you. For direct EVGA purchases you apply on our promo page for a code to be emailed to you.

If your GTX 1080 Classified was purchased from EVGA.com directly then it will be eligible for the Gears of War 4 promotion. See HERE for a full list of qualifying products. If you purchased the card elsewhere then it may not be eligible for the promotion. The promo code will have to be obtained by the original place of purchase.
