20% refund is pretty good. 

Newegg Canada has said it is their management policy not give refunds on the 970 as "nVidia has informed them that the advertising is correct." Their words, not mine.

What do you have to do to get it?

This is awesome on Neweggs part, but very interesting if you think deeply enough on it........perhaps I am just tired lol. I just hope Newegg sends a bill to Nvidia to be completely honestI just have a hard time believing Newegg would take such a cut to make customers happy when it wasn't even their fault. I couldn't in my right mind, take my cards back to BestBuy and ask for a partial refund or upgrade. these retailers shouldn't be the ones taking the fall

Spoke to Newegg today and he told me that they are not giving out 20% refunds to customers who bought the card, the only thing they are offering is a full refund or a store credit.

I called and only got 10%

Called them on Sunday and after 30mins with the customer rep talking to his supervisor got 10% back.

i contacted them just out of curiosity and was told they are offering gift cards worth 10%

I lived chatted them and they told me they can't do anything.

They offered me a full refund after 60 days, but I probably won't take it. 

I told amazon that I use the GPU for professional reasons and that I cannot go without a card.  10 seconds later she creditied my account $75

If you guys are so upset, don't buy Nvidia again. If you don't like the two companies, then PLEASE form a new competitor... Really, that is what the PC graphics card market needs a third competitor. 

I absolutely enjoy my card.  I was pretty peeved about not exceeding 3.5 GDDR in a couple of games that I play, considering that I came from CF 7950's that were OC'd to 1200MHz on the core.  the CF cards performed about the same as this gtx970.  I was just maxing out the 3GDDR so I wanted a new card that would give me another gig of GDDR.  so paying what I did for 0.5GDDR is kinda lame since CF 7950's performed really well at 1440p @110Hz.
 
At this point with the additional rebate from amazon I know that I can sell this card and break even when amd's cards come out.  this is assuming of course they are better.  I am not a fanboy of anything I want price to performance.  You are absolutely right I have nothing else to complain about since I got my rebate.  In the end I hope somebody learns a lesson not to lie about what the true specs of a card are.  I want all of that 4096 MB, 256 bit GDDR5 since that is what i paid for.  If I buy a 500hp car but 100hp of it is electric and cannot be used at the same time I would also be pissed about that if it were not in the spec sheet.
 
amazon treated me fairly and in return I reupped my prime membership and bought a Corsair Gaming K95 Mechanical Keyboard with Back-Lit White LED to replace my k60 and also a Corsair Gaming MM600 Double-Sided Aluminum Core Gaming Mouse Mat which is an absolutely amazing mouse pad and probably the last one I will ever buy.  It is so smooth and the mouse control is just great especially when combined with the hyperglide silicon feet for my mouse.

I do not know why people need to chime in about disliking one company or another.  I hold nothing against a company I will always pick whoever is best at that moment.  it is like the stock market in that past performance means nothing about future performance.  I will not defend a company as it is their job to that and not mine (not a fanboy).
