I'm telling you. It's like I'm having crap luck with places lately.

So Friday when the i7-6700k came in stock I called Newegg and explained to the girl I wanted the i7-6700k CPU but didn't want any of the combos they have MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte. I explained that I wanted to get the ASRock motherboard. She transferred me to a supervisor, I explained it to her and she got with the marketing people and designed my own combo as you can only purchase the CPU in a combo. So Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday it's still on Order Verification. I contacted them via chat and he said it takes 24-48 hours to verify, so I assume business days. So that means Tuesday at 2:15(CST) it would be 48 hours business day wise. So today when it still showed the same thing.

So fast forward to tonight via chat I'm told the CPU can't be purchased separately and then I explained that the combo thing was created etc... The person tells me they'll have to speak to somebody and get back to me via email. Well I'm sorry but these people need to get on the same page. I ordered DDR4 32GB of ram expecting this all to be in by Friday so I could assemble it Saturday. I'm the type of person that likes to get all the parts from the same place. If I have to go local to get my CPU/MOBO then I might as well get the ram from them along with my CPU AIO. So I'll likely be RMA'ing my DDR4 G.SKILL memory. Honestly if I have to go through all this crap with them then I'll likely stop using Newegg and close my preferred account with them.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just quite heated because I got all excited about my build. This is actually my first bad experience with Newegg but it's not really a minor one as if I had known this Monday or earlier today I could of had that chip by Thursday/Friday from the local CPU shop.

Don't worry Newegg will be sure to let you down in the future. I hear they love to send used products to customers instead of brand new products they ordered.

I've never had this happen to me before.

They did make the situation right though.

Amazon? LOL. No way. They take literally a week to ship a package out. I'm good.

I have Amazon Prime and my packages even get delivered on a Sunday. I started using Performance PCs until I got sent the wrong size anti-kink coils twice. The supposedly right sized coils still aren't here so I got them from Amazon and they will be here tomorrow. Amazon never argues if I get the wrong or defective part either. Amazon is now my first stop for anything I need.

Amazon is carying more and more specialty and watercooling parts. The only gripe I have is when they charge me sales tax.

Bought a 960 Monday just because, and it was shipped Tuesday morning and delivered yesterday.

2 day free shipping on most packages for any prime member when purchased from Amazon Directly.

Wha? I've never had any issues with Amazon outside of buying 1 item from an individual seller. Amazon customer service is pretty good and they make returns a hell of a lot easier than newegg ever will. I've had my prime subscription for like 4 years now and I love it. Even at $99 getting free music, movies and ebooks makes it more than worth it.

It should of never happened to customers in the first place. You don't stock USED items on the same shelf as New items. Only way that happens is if Management tells the warehouse workers to do it. If newegg tried to do that to me, i would report them to FTC for fraud.

I can't help but think that there's a warehouse worker at Performance PCs giggling about sending me the wrong parts again and again.
