BIOS issues is the main cause, multiple other issues as well. I returned mine because I finally got fed up with troubleshooting my PC instead of using it. Not surprised at all for the price drops.

Keep in mind these only support the Sandy Bridge chips. They do not support Ivy Bridge, and it appears that EVGA is not going to release any updated bios to support IB chips.

aside from no Ivy support, are these boards pretty solid performers or are they like the X79 boards from EVGA, littered with bugs and issues?

clearly... also it supports memory up to 16 GB. yet an alternative thought might be: what board could you get for $59.99? what features could that money buy? if you are doing GPGPU -folding, rendering...  etc... looks like a steal to me. also consider the "minimal" 9% performance difference between 2600K and 3770K... anyway. everyone would have their reasons  . still looks like a very sweat deal to me. lol  .
