Would this be a justified upgrade over my PCI X-Fi XtremeMusic that has been serving me well for 6+ years? Having a hard time convincing myself of such.

Please note that the card is for digital output, not analog. Just in case you didn't notice.

Thanks, yeah didn't notice that. I am going to stick with my current X-Fi still has some life in her and is still leaps and bounds better than onboard.

Yessir. I got the Sound Blaster Champion Series. And love it way better than crappy on-board with no bass lol.

Just yesterday I was looking and it was at retail, $179.99. I have to admit, $100+ is still a massive amount for a sound card, but this is a pretty tight deal.

I still need to finish 4 and all the others for that matter. I never liked the first 3 and their terrible camera angles, but 4 on the Wii was amazing and 5 is pretty sweet. I stopped playing them as soon as they started to heavily mention past events. The Wii has a few rail shooters that are supposed to get players caught up on the saga, hopefully they do a good job, otherwise it's back to the terrible camera angles >.<

the first 2 are the best. They're what we call the true Resident Evil.

First three are the worst, bad controls, glitches and camera angles. yapchagi, saying "we" does not validate your position on EVGA Forums. This RE5 is a hot deal (free shipping too) from the egg for a retail package.
