This is 9 though...I've seen like 7.
|
Even though this is only $30 I decided to just go with the 8gb vengeance cas 8. It was a tough choice. I figure I don't need 16 gb. So I went with a faster 8 gb for $ 75 vs 2x of these cas 9 for $60 @ 16gb. I feel I made the right choice? What do u guys think?

This is a seriously great set of RAM. Using four sticks for 16GB total, I can pretty much do anything.

if you dont need the 16g then yea lower timing ram is better for real world performance from what I read.

You already made the choice why are you asking, now, if it was the right one? I, for one, would not have paid 15$ more to get fewer ram but with lower CAS. But that's just me. Enjoy your ram nonetheless . agedrig

You've read it wrong. In real world performance (and i'm talking overall not just an app or game) a lower timing means squat, not even a 3% difference. In benchmarks it may mean a few points more.

Agreed! Also, I am running this RAM in my Z68 rig and it's certainly some of the best I have ever used. A+ One of the best deals I've seen also. 60 bucks for 16GB is just awesome.

G9x looks nice, how you think it compares to the G500 , since around same price
|
Imo G9x all the way. However I had posted the g500 for $35 at icemonkey. They are both good but the g9x fits better in my hands.
