You can then use this chip to flash the other BIOS on the board.
 
Its simple, you open the small cage, remove the chip, and replace it. The cage is located above the front panel connectors, its a small grey box with doors that open.
 
We can also RMA the board if you prefer.

Wish I knew the chip solution was out before I rma'd my board oh well.

Perfect example of why I buy Evga. Maybe Asus didn't have any major issues this time around but if they did, would they be so helpful in fixing it?

This has happened to me as well this weekend and I've emailed EVGA and Matt to get a new chip. Black screen flashing cursor after the BIOs attempts to load. Switching to secondary BIOs did not work

In my particular case a BIOs chip should resolve this. I will post back if this solves the problem once I get the chip

Same your problem! Do not start and no boot black screen with cursor appears at the top lampeggianter, 0b and error in display motherboards

Finally got my replacement board. To my surprise I actually got a brand new one woot!
 
Everything is working fine and I must say my SSD is loving the 6GB Sata port.

Generally speaking how long is the process of receiving the bios chip? Was Matt able to respond in a timely manner? At this time I was just wondering what would be faster A) RMA through Amazon or B) Bios replacement from EVGA.

Make sure the PC is lying flat on the floor when you take out the BIOs chip because it is very small it can fall into the smallest places.

i just got all my parts in the other day and put my system together and ran into the same issues here. everything boots up just fine and detected. get to the point to boot off the windows dvd or anything like that im stuck. as others ive tried different setups and drives to get around this with no luck.
 
i have sent an email to the address listed in this post for a replacement bios chip.

after replacing the bios chip I could start my system and install windows, and now the problem that after a little mouse andkeyboard, turn off and computer freezes, forcing me to restart! What should I do!

Have you made any settings manually in the BIOs?
 
Load the BIOs defaults and then only set your DIMM voltage and make no other changes. Does this still occur?
