    Hello vinhus,

We have not been given any information if there are any plans for a new motherboard, at this point. If they do make plans to release one, you bet you'll hear about it.

Because they have not released an X99 Dark is the main reason why i have not upgrade my system yet, but that's not the only reason.

There is no info at this time. Normally if there is a new motherboard in the works that is coming soon Jacob releases some hints on his twitter account. So continue to monitor the EVGA website and Jacob's twitter to see if there are any hints about anything new coming.

Don't count on a new X99 to my knowledge. It would be nice but I'm moving to ASUS.

Your Mods Rigs is a little out dated for your new Motherboard.

Only way I would be interested in the same 2011 v3 socket at this late in the game is if they added lots of controllable LED ambient lighting through out the board, more gold content in the socket, M.2 PCIe 3.0, reinforced PCIe slots, the error display horizontal instead of vertical, keeping the classified black and red theme, and a faster boot when all drives are connected to a M.2 OS drive.   Hope I'm not asking too much but I"m sure I'm missing a bunch.

I wouldn't mind LEDs myself. I had an Asus RVE 10 at first and it looked fantastic but it had a dead lan port so I ultimately returned it and since they were out of stock, picked up the x99 FTW K which is a great stable board. In addition to the LEDs, I see most of the other major mobo mfg all have wifi, B/T and custom audio software for the realtek codec. I wanted to go z170 but for some reason SLI cards would be sandwiched together and I didn't like that simply because it wasn't aesthetically pleasing to me. I feel the 2-slot spacing is perfect which the x99 gave me but in the end, I will take stable performance over bling any day!

If the rumors of release of Skylake X are true (for the 2nd quarter of 2017) I don't see the logic of releasing a new X99 motherboard in my personal opinion.

I think same but customers should less to look what will show up in future. If they need and want X99 they could build and now.
For 10-12 months will be available new platform but never mind...
It's not disaster if you CPU is not newest. Important to deal nice with all applications.
For X99 obvious king is Rampage V Edition 10. Domination over other similar boards is bigger than usually after launch of that board.

Vlada, you're like a chicken running around with its head cut off.  One week you're promoting people to buy EVGA boards because they're the best.  The next week you're promoting ASUS as the best even though they have the worst CS, meaning if something should go wrong with the board, you might be stuck with it.  Pick a team and stick with it.  It's also wise not to boast another companies board in the competing companies forums but then that makes me sound like a fanboy.  So be it. lol

When I sad that EVGA is better than ROG Class... Maybe more durable and similar quality hardware build in, controllers, regulators, etc, but ROG boards have much more option and features and on smaller space ASUS give more functions...
Please look Rampage V Edition 10 and how PCB look there and what she offer. She have option to disable not only PCI-E slots, even memory slots not used, option to enable only PCI-E slots for SLI or single cards, customers could even figure out what their memory use Samsung, Micron or Hynix modules...ASUS is good 3 year ahead other motherboard manufacturers in motherboard class.
That's area where ASUS is strongest. I mean voltage offset max I saw on RVE is 0.012mV and only in adaptive mode(she have 3 Manual, Adaptive, Offset), only in Adaptive is 12mV deviation, in manual even less.
Only look one thing... people couldn't overclock CPU Cache Clock or Ring or how that call other manufacturers on EVGA motherboards.
That option is most important part of X99 platform and separate performance of Quad Channel from Dual Channel because without that difference is only around 5%. I saw when guy increase memory read, copy, write from 60.000Mb/s to more than 75.000Mb/s without touching DRAM settings, only with overclocking cache, more than 1200MHz. Such omissions are not acceptable... What Cache need to work on 2400MHz, that's my setting for idle, under load Clock go on 4200MHz and Cache go up 3500MHz without voltage increase and Cache have special settings for overclocking and voltage change same as CPU Clock Settings.
I can't describe you how much Cache change result as Cinebench and similar...
score with Cache on default and overclocked can't be compared at all because.
1000-1200MHz overclocked Cache is same as 400-500MHz CPU Clock. So big difference is and help in both direction RAM and CPU Score.
I could tell you only this... I would sold EVGA X99 and change motherboard with such big differences. That's not acceptable. OK some little flaw but I looked EVGA X99 BIOS just to check settings and I can't find Cache Voltage and Cache Frequency settings...
Where is Cache Frequency? No. No Cache Frequency? How that's possible, you don't understand X99 platform without that.
And no matter on Forum and ASUS tolerate EVGA stuff on ROG Forum, more than half of owners of ROG motherboards and more have EVGA graphic cards or few of them. I'm like all other customers, I need to choose best from both world... I'm not ASUS or EVGA employer.

The chance is next to zero that a new X99 will be released prior to the next iteration of CPUs.

Dont think i'll wait around.  Always been if i have the money and time to do something now, do it now...otherwise there's always a new release of something a few quarters down the line...would be waiting forever if i'm always waiting ^_^.   Now i'm literally just waiting for cyber weekend to see if I can score any deals.  Will probably end up picking up the x99 classified to stick my 6850k in and if i can find any awesome 1070 deals to add to my folding server.   Then I should be good to go until volta comes out.  A rig for me, a rig for the wife...everything else gets converted to server crunch/folding duty for me.

That's funny...I'm thinking about doing something very similar. Either the x99 FTW or Classified with a 6850k.  Time to retire the cramped and packed old Antec 901. Think I'm going with a Corsair 780T.

    EVGA X99 FTWK / i7 6850K @ 4.5ghz / RTX 3080Ti FTW Ultra / 32GB Corsair LPX 3600mhz / Samsung 850Pro 256GB / Be Quiet BN516 Straight Power 12-1000w 80 Plus Platinum / Window 10 Pro

I recently just purchased the Classified X99 board and I am extremely happy with it.  Yes it lacks RGB and lighting on the board and it lacks wifi, but that is the point of me choosing it if I want a dance room I will go to a bar.  If you are building a gaming rig put it on Cat6 diet and be done with it.   The board has proven itself time and time again against many others and holds it own quite well.  Another reason is this late in the game all this boards gremlins are ironed out.  That is my problem with Asus I built on there boards for over 10 years for myself and others and it seems if they run into big troubles they just push another revision out and could care less about the customers they left with past issues.

Ask yourself this what is the point of PCI-E lighting?  once a card is in there you won't directly be able to see it.   Most enthusiast builds run some form of case lighting, which in my case is Casemods Widebeam and I can assure you I have seen many reviews these LEDs drown out about any MB lighting.  Will I stick with an EVGA MB time will tell I will say MB could take a few hints from them with there 90 cable connections.   My 6850k went straight to 4.4 at 1.33 with NO issues and stupidly stable I need to stop being lazy and see how much lower I can get with the voltage.

    Intel i9 9900k @ 5.2

    EVGA z390 DARK
    Asus Strix OC 2080Ti

    Samsung 850 SSD
    WD 1TB Black

ahhh sweet.  Good to know.  I hve the same cpu and planning on the classified.  Just waiting for the weekend to see if i can score any sales but if not ill pull the trigger on monday and just wait.  I dont have time to aseemble it till after finals anyways so no biggie.  Plus have to wait on EK to ship my cpu block to me anyways, which should be here after this weekend.   I like buying late in the game because all the quirks have been fished out and its sually cheaper than buying something fresh.  Plus EVGA customer support has always been the king, they take care of their own leagues above the others so I always buy their product whenever I can.
