Thanks for the welcome, guys. I must say, being able to pick your projects (and having a nice variety to choose from) is pretty awesome.
I agree. Some of the great things about BOINC is being able to choose from a large variety of projects and being able to run several at one time with ease. Welcome aboard.

Well after F@H servers being down for ages, decided to fire up some WCG. Crunching with my i7 2600k atm, may turn on the e6600 downstairs too if I go down to the basement. Might get the idle computers at work crunching too :) Edit: Yup, forgot that WCG ran on BOINC :D I will be setting up 4 desktops running Core i5s at work to crunch when idle. Maybe more if I they are laying around.

im thinking about putting my main rig back on rosetta@ home and leaving my second rig along with 2 older dual core systems doing fah ... im just so tired of servers down , units crashing my pc etc etc i might fire up my gpu's once in a while but i think im nearing an end with fah here soon.... Anyways would i be able to join the team if i started running rosetta @ home since its on boinc or does it only allow u to join if you run wcg?? thanks alot guys!

I believe only WCG counts toward the team points. I'm running WCG and using my GPU to run GPUGRID. It runs my GPU at about 70% so it runs cooler and doesn't crash my system, ever.

you can join what you want (it's all under BOINC and for crunching@EVGA - don't forget the team assignment)
WCG is having a winter contest - to help out there you have to specifically crunch there
To help out during the race run WCG and then when the race is over you can switch to whatever you like
currently I have my GPU's doing GPUgrid and Einstein@home and SMP on WCG

You can run any BOINC project you want. That is the beauty of this team. We are in control, not who we donate are resources to. As stated, join under Crunching@EVGA . If you want to contribute to the Christmas challenge going on right now run WCG tasks, which has about a dozen different projects you can choose from in itself, then switch to whatever you want. Or you do not have to participate in the Christmas Challenge. As long as you are part of the Crunching @EVGA team that is the important thing. Welcome aboard, I hope.

Just changed my my e8400 @4.0 over to crunching keeping my gpu's doing folding. All so got my old p4 at 3.6 with its evga 6800 ultra crunching. My name here was taken so I am under speedenbull for crunching.

Joining the team with Rosetta! But how do I change my team? I'm still member of an older team but I want to change to EVGA. Edit: already found. I had to change it via the Rosetta website, not through BOINC itself.
