Welcome aboard to the new members and glad to have you join our merry band of crunchers!  It is really cool to see people bringing just about every form of equipment to the task.  That is one thing I really like about "crunching"...no restriction on gear.

Just joined few days ago, crunching FAH since 8 months ago. Now still trying to get familiar with WCG. Currently testing on a Notebook with P8400. Will be switching a 2600k FAH cruncher over to WCG once it reaches 10m points there in ~1.5 month time.
By the way is there any benefit of crunching WCG in Ubuntu? In FAH Linux generates higher PPD. Thanks.

Welcome!! And to answer your question check out this thread

Wow, nice to see EVGA joining WCG (just came across this thread, as you can see by my thread count, I'm not on the forums very much and when I am it's usually in the distributed computing area).

I was never part of a team at WCG, and been a while since I crunched for WCG (always used my work laptop for that and since our code refresh forgot to re-install WCG as it was always running in the background and never payed much attention to it) but count me in for Crunching@EVGA (just re-installed the client), won't be much work load done on my part as I will be crunching on a T7300 and most likely just one core at that.

Oh and my WCG name is the same as my forum name, have used nine3o for decades (yes decades, it was used when I was using BBS with dial up modems)

Little confused as to the points tracking from different sites. BINOICstats shows 5052 total credit and so does Free-DC but WCG shows 26729 points. I just assume because there are so many different points adding up for differnt projects BIONIC sets its own score system with credits?

Results returned on WCG shows 57 but on my sig its 27, just a case of update timing? Sorry for so many nub questions.

No problem happy to help... WCG is multiplying the BOINC number by seven...

And this thread is a great place for those starting out... It has a lot of the "Starting out" questions. But do not be afraid to ask any we are happy to help. I only bring that up as a way to be of help when we may not be online to respond

And it is best to look at a week of info when working with Crunching.. None of the numbers will ever match unless you stop for more than three days... then they are pretty close... (Counting the 7x1 I told you about on the production points)

Checking in.  My crunching name victorE81.  I'm running on the computer in my sig doing 100% on 6 of my 12 threads.  I'm happy to see that I get emails about progress that is being accomplished.   It makes me feel like I'm actually contributing to something were progress is being made and that it's appreciated.  I'll be moving soon to CO so I'll be down for a few weeks after Christmas.  Hey, if anybody is looking for sys admin in CO, I need a job.

Nother question, I added GPUGRID to my project list and both 470s are crunching away. But it does not seem to affect my BIONIC stats, maybe I just have to wait a few more days? Other non WCG projects should still add to BIONIC stats numbers correct?
