Safe to say there needs to be a new support forum in which it can tree down into the specific series. This forum tree is like 99% support issues / complaints and clutters any type of normal discussion about the 10 series. Makes me not want to even bother participating when I have to scroll through pages of issues before seeing something interesting or relevant to the series. Thoughts?

Sorry to be blunt but I don't have a 1080ftw so I don't care about your thermal pad issues nor previously a 970 to care about your .5GB missing memory issue I had to sift through before. Smile face.

Hmm, thoughts: Maybe if EVGA would acknowledge there is a defect with these cards, and offer a proper recall solution, rather than a crappy band-aid that also has the effect of making the cards run noisier, there might be less uproar on this forum about this issue.

Has the OP thought there's a reason for the quantity of posts regarding the FTW?

Great idea with a "support sub forum" or maybe just a "Thermal mod forum" untill this blows away. It would ofc not be needed hadnt this thermal affair arised. At the same time that might to some people look like EVGA is "hiding" the problems moving issues to another forum. Maybe a sticky thread where EVRY1 who has "thermal" questions can post?!

EVGA brought this upon themselves.  It should stay the way it is.

And EVGA employees, stop insulting everybody by calling anything "optional".  Your company screwed the pooch - just admit it or stop talking about it.  Plus you haven't given any timing on shipment of thermal pad fixes and you shipped them out of order.

I've had one of these cards since day of release in Europe and I've never had a problem. You don't hear from the hundreds who have this card and don't have the issues. I run folding at home on my card daily and also play games. I now have the new BIOs installed but before that...never a problem.

Of course there will be a certain percentage of people that will have a glorious hassle free experience, kudos to them. I believe the "affected" user percentage
is much larger than admitted. You can be sure EVGA are running mad trying to contain all this with damage control and wanting to avoid recalls at all costs.

I think what the OP wants is a thread to talk about the 10 series cards with out sorting through issues and complaint threads.
Maybe something like a 10 series club thread where people could talk about their cards, overclocking them, how well the play game x y or z.
He just wants a normal conversation about the cards.
I think being able to have a 1070, 1080, 980ti clubs maybe a good idea. A place to talk about the cards with out it being an "issue" thread.
Maybe a sticky thread at the very start of each series of cards, motherboards and PSUs where one could just have a normal conversation.

OP has a point. I typically come here to discuss max overclocks and what people are getting in benchmarks/ gaming experience. I've pretty much given up on the 10 Series EVGA forum for the time being and go to OCN.

Smile face.
