Hi All,

New happy owner of the 780Ti Classified.

I picked one up at my local computer hardware store.

I also bought my previous 670 FTW there, but due to some issues with aftermarket cooling and DIY fixes to possible power issues, I couldn't RMA the 670.

I wonder: If I keep the cooler and TIM that came with the card, and only OC with the Precision X tool, if for any terrible happenstance (which seems to happen to me, bad luck!) will I be able to RMA this card? What are the limitations for sending back a defective card?

CPU: Intel i5-3570k 4242Mhz 1.35v | MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth z77 | PSU: Corsair HX750
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Sniper 1818Mhz 10-10-10-28 1.5v | GPU: EVGA GTX 780Ti Classified 1215Mhz 1.212v

For the most part as long as it has the original bios and cooler you should be fine. Cards now days are overclocked out of the box so voiding a warranty because of a oc is something that isnt really practiced I dont think anymore. Keep the stock cooler on it and if you want to do a custom bios do it on the ln2 bios. Thats the customs 2nd bios anyway. Other than that you should be good to go.

Yeah first thing you should do before installing is flip it over to LN2.. The stock bios really doesn't let you overclock much..

Both of my cards overclock well on the normal bios. Will be trying with the third card soon as well.

As far as aftermarket cooling, you can change to anything you find sufficient ad long as it doesn't physically damage the card at all. Also, keep the original hardware so that you can change it back to stock for any RMA that could come up. I will be running a 3rd Classified under waterblocks very soon. They are great cards.
