I finally decided to upgrade my EVGA GTX 680 too a EVGA GTX 1070, couldn't be happier. Now deciding if I want to go SLI or not.

Playing around overclocking it, this is max I could run bench marks at, though i was able to play Crysis 3 with Max graphic settings with +280Mhz core/ 400Mhz memory

Sorry SLI is dead. There have been many tests done with the 10 series of cards and 80% of games (even modern games) do not benefit from SLI. The cost of two cards compared to the benefits you gain isnt worth it. You would have been much better off buying a single 1080 card.

Scarlet, probably will after the new year, thanks deathangel, and Pawelbly that is currently nothing is in stone that SLI won't be better supported in the future.
