I think it's just the client, it should work for all SMP WU's.

quick question, is this new smp for cpu better than 2 instances of vmware (quad core here) ? anyone could compare which one is better ?

planning to come back for evga folding some time soon ;)

Welcome back feniks.
A lot has changed with the smp client in the last few months.
Nowadays its better to run one instance across all points. These new wus are time dependant. You get a bonus for a quick return.
To get the bonus you´ll need a passkey. Then you have to run 10 A2 or A3 wus and maintain an 80% success rate.

I think i had passkey a year ago already. need to look up old files, i'm sure i had it, because there was second account with same name which didn't belong to me (reason why I used passkey).

I will play with new CPU client at home and forget VMware for now. looked through the new 3.0 version thread, but there was too much info for me reading it at 2am ...

If you´ve already been using the passkey a year ago on the vm (A2 wus) then you should already qalify for the bonus
To my knowledge the installer does not yet contain the new exe.
So download the installer and the drop in binary. Run the installer then the replace the exe.
And don´t forget the -smp flag before you start it up the first time. Otherwise you´ll get a single core wu

right, the -smp flag, almost forgot. do i also have to use -bigadv flag now for some big units bonus or something ?

feniks, you add -smp X -bigadv to the shortcut where X is the number of cores you'd like to use. 

-smp X -bigadv

no, bigadv won´t run on a quad. it requires a minimum of 8 cores ( or an oced i7)
you can use the -advmethods to get new wus and -verbosity 9 for a more detailed log, but thats it

To monitor forget fahmon as it doesn´t calculate the bonus points.
The favorite of the hour is HFM.net (it can calculate the bonus points). I think fahspy can calculate them as well

i'm using fahspy 2.0.1 (it says can calculate bonuses).
