I'm looking for a box of any part that's particular pricey to fool a buddy of mine into thinking he's getting something more than just the 2 nerdy shirts I'm getting him. Does anyone have any old part boxes they'd be willing to part with? I'd buy them and pay shipping just need some options. All I have at the moment is my PSU box but he's buying the same one on cyber Monday.

You have a PC store you can go to nearby and see?? Seems rather silly to have someone ship a box to prank someone for christmas. I can see it now at the post office "USPS worker: contents of the box? you: air?? USPS worker: seriously?"

Lol I wish I had a store within say 30 miles but best buy is the closest and it's a 45 minute drive if my lady drives and almost and hour if I drive. I will have to see if I can make a trip down on the weekend bUT still looking.

Lol, people are being overly harsh here. I know plenty of people who would find this sort of a prank hilarious. Heck, my dad would do something similar at Christmas. It ended up becoming a bit of a tradition, so I have fond memories of that sort of thing.

Lol this is actually not a bad idea. I can use photo paper and run a high dpi printing setting. Lol thanks now to find suitable pictures.

- Give your friend a 3D printer box containing the fake 3D printer.
- Profit.
Not much difference between a 3D printer and a non-working one. Many designs are made that they could be self-replicating, just add the electronics and metal shafts.
