Moltenlava, my brother had to edit his post, he had the Double Play idea but came up with EVGA 5520 Classified 2x4 but when he noticed Davabled had used the name but using a different ay out of respect he dropped the idea and i gave him the Duble Play back and dropped out myself. So that post is edited also, he prett much admits he stole the idea stating that hes not enteirng EVGA 5520 (4-Way SLI) "Dual Play" but EVGA 5520 (4-way) Dual Play (see whta he did there, he removed the quotes, minus the quotes).

I dont think Moltenlava's entry should be void just because he edited, i dont think it states anywhere you can edit, just that your only allowed 1 entry.  It should be fine though GunganJARDI has 2 posts so even if he edited the first one to remove his first entry you would still see he already had an entry.

Ah well lets leave it in the hands of EVGA, hopefully they will make the right decision, i dont think it will win anyway, that "twobyfour" idea is genius.

i did not say a post shold not count if its edited. but if you see someone edited a post to steal someone elses idea... and the post they stole it from came first than thats a good way to rule out cheats.

Gotta love all the people registering just for this contest. I bet one of 'em will win too. 


One never knows who will win this sort of contest.  I've lurked these forums before - I think I'm going to hang around regardless if I win or not.   The ones I feel the *most* sorry for are the EVGA reps because they need to sort through the hundreds of posts to find A) who is still eligible and B) the EVGA reps because they need to select a winner from the awesome names that have been suggested.   IMO the main thing that will help them is that many names suggested are already copyrighted for other brands within their electronic lines so that will shorten the list right up.   On a related note y I just found out my name is also the name of a computer case that is produced by a company called Mountain Mods.   It's too late for me to come up with something else sadly.  The only bright side to that is that the Mountain Mods case may be the only one in production large enough to satisfy this EVGA beast of a motherboard!  With any luck I could still win though - I'm not sure how copyright law really works with naming things in a non-related field.

That is usually how it works.  EVGA puts out the contest, and the flurry of new folks arrive.  Nothing wrong with that, but hopefully the new folks STAY and contriubute to the forums.  Not just gimme my free board and never to be seen again.
