Orbmu2k

I rechecked the download with MSE all clean.

My development/publishing system is MSSE and MalwareBytes clean too.

I just finished scanning with MSSE too, and it appears it's a false positive by my isp's scanner.

Sorry to have mentioned it, but figured better safe than sorry until it could be checked further.

The Fermi Bios Editor tool looks pretty amazing. I'm assuming the Voltage Entry #2-GPU default is what gives the voltage based on VID?

I'm not sure how fast things are going with NiBiTor...maybe they need some tips from Orbmu2k.

Yeah, thats correct, the pattern #2 target the default volatge depending on gpu fuse / board settings. How the pattern is encoded iam not totally aware of right now.

EVGA uses this at #1 in a different way on its SC and FTW cards too. So they end up dynamicly 2 steps higher than #2.

Oh God, help me! Real questions for a change, and I'm lovin' it.

That remark about eVGA using #1 for FTWs - they used the same trick on the GTX 260s as well in spots, didn't they? I ask because I've never been able to figure out why it was set up that way in one of my BIOSs, and I appear to finally have an answer...

As for what iam speaking about its only my knowledge for GF100, the bios editor is just for these cards either.

So sorry i can not comment to FTWs of GT200 or else...

nvidiaInspector settings will not remain, after reboot or driver crash all falls back to bios defaults ;-)

I understand that part, having been pointed out in my first post. I just hoped for a clue on the 260s.

Hi, this is great stuff, especially in light of the fact that MSI AB doesn't work worth a lick with my 480 as I had hoped. I will try and let you know how it works.

Update: same ol' story as with AB, voltage tweaks are grayed out, what is going on? Do I have a "bum" card for volt modding, I'm confused.

Do you have another card installed different then the GTX 480?

I would uninstall the drivers and remove all nvidia driver folders, reboot into safe mode and run driver sweeper, reboot and run the 197.55 driver installer.

Honestly it sounds like the programs are picking up previous drivers (non 400 series). I would go through the process again.

Which version of Afterburner did you download and install?  If it wasn't 1.6 Beta 5 that is why it won't work with your 480.

Have any of the mods ok'd this by any chance? I would like to install it but I don't want them to later say that using this will void warranty on my 2 480's.

Stupid questions, but did you check the settings in the options that allow voltage control? They are off by default. Secondly, did you download the latest version (not the one on the main page)?

for the OP , with 2 cards on GPU#1 my known (from when i only had one GPU) Voltage is showing the second cards voltage and The second card is now showing my voltage i know to be for GPU#1 .

In short reversal of Voltages GPU#1 should be 1.000 but reads 1.0062
GPU#2 reads 1.000 but should be 1.062 .

I wish it gave more volts then the displayed max voltage. Right now I'm stuck at 925Mhz core clock and my max temp during Heaven or Vantage is 45c.

he probably added the max voltage for safety reasons (even if the card can accept higher)
