Did I mention Civ VI faded to black on exit and never went to my desktop no matter how hard I tried shirt of logging out or restarting? Gonna call epic fail on this driver series so far.

I do wonder why they dropped GeForce experience from the package, don't they want to get it on people's system without them knowing it?  (for those that click express install)

They were packaging GFE version 2.0 in their driver package while 3.0 came out of Beta. Probably the newer GFE is being bundled now. I just wish they'd stop pimping 3dvision on me all the time. And that HD Audio needs to stop bugging me as well.

How can you test Folding Tasks/Projects if you are not Folding?

The driver's purpose is not to resolve folding issue, but to resolve well known issues with certain monitor configurations.

One thing I can say is that my Heaven benchmark average FPS (high/ultra, UHD) has jumped up by over 10 FPS. I've made no other changes to the system.

Also, a reboot is required for installation - unusual for newer Nvidia drivers.

Re: NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 375.63 WHQL 2016/10/27 06:25:14 (permalink)
The last few drivers reintroduced the high core clock at idle/desktop issue.

    144hz G-Sync main monitor
    60hz secondary monitor
    GTX 1070
    Win 10

This driver and the last couple idle/desktop core clock sits at ~1100mhz.

With GPUz open and running.  As soon as rollback installation of 372.54 (or maybe 372.70, cant remember which one) completes, the core drops to 139mhz.  As soon as I reinstall 375.63... 1100mhz idle.

Yes, changing the 144hz to 120hz "solves" it but... C'Mon!  And I know they can fix it because it was broken, then for 3 or 4 driver versions it worked super, then didnt work again.

Also, it seems like Enabling g-sync no longer acts like v-sync by capping my FPS when I hit 144.  A few versions ago I did not have to enable v-sync in game.  Specifically Diablo 3.  If G-Sync was enabled, I would never exceed 144fps.  I don't think I really need to run at 250fps.

That is why I posted "Do Not Use For Folding @ Home" But others are now reporting Gaming issues.
A reboot under Windows 7/8 has always been required, so you must be on Windows 10.

This Driver is the Cause of the Folding Issue so that you know, and the reason for the Diver updates are to have them Game Ready for new games coming out not Monitors. If they were then they would call them Monitor Ready and not Game Ready.
But overall newer drivers are to provide more stable use of your Graphics Card for what ever you use it for.

This driver is to specifically fix an issue which causes corruption and instability with some monitors. It has been reported hundreds of times.
