Idle: 1200RPM, 22.7 dBa, GPU 51C, VRM 50C
Load: 2200RPM, 38.2 dBA, GPU 81C, VRM 76C
Environment: 24C, distance – 1m from the VGA

Not Bad for my taste.

AMD really always choose bad timing for their cards.
Now Pro Duo cost 1499$ and GTX1070 OC SLI will beat him for half money.
Even reference GTX1070 SLI overclocked. Half less power consumption, half price, little better performance + PhysX and NVIDIA Inspector Tricks.
I don't know why they couldn't launch Radeon PRO Duo for 1299$ 2-3 months after Fury X and to sell 300% more graphic cards.

I couldn't hear any difference between the cards in the last demo on my cheap-o usb speakers. were any measurements from a db meter provided?

This test shows a load temp of 81c !!!  On an open test bench.  That is very high.

The Founders Edition Thermal Throttles at 82c

And this is with a normal fan curve.   If you have faster overclocks you will have to speed the fan up alot more.  And that means its louder.  More like 50+ decibels.  Which is Conversation speech.  That is a loud fan.

Yes TPU show 83C under Load.
I believe them, definitely people will need to say goodbuy to this reference cooler.
    Best solution will be Hybrid.
I think EVGA will be smart enough to offer and separate Hybrid kits because people with other cards will want their cooler.
In first moment I thought card will be hot only as GTX980, not as TITAN X. This is even hotter than TITAN X or same.
Lucky are owners of custom liquid cooling, they don't need to afraid for temps.
If card reach 83C on reference clock than Classified with better cooler and higher clock will reach same 83C and that's very hot for ambient temps.

If its overclocked that means it wont go over about 82-83c because once it reaches those temps the GPU frequency is turned down automatically to save the card from heating up anymore.   So they will get throttling until they turn the fan speed up to keep the thermals under 81c.

Those videos are using the stock fan curve. Lets hear what they sound like at 100% fan speed.

    +1.
I think same. It's far more silent than reference Radeon.
I don't know what is reason for that because and Radeon could buy same kind of cooler.
I think first video use 100% fan closer to end of video clip.
Noise is not problem, problems are temps. I suppose customers will need to keep fan manual on 80-85% constantly during games.
Special people who disable VSync... And only if they use default frequency.
That will keep GTX1080 GPU below 83C... Probably arround 79-80-81C or maybe even few degree less.
For now I look three models SC, Classified and Hybrid. Depend of reviews I will choose.

I would be happiest with Predator 240 and i7-5820K + EVGA 1080 Classified in loop.
Fans constantly on 1500RPM or 1800 RPM If I use Gentle Typhoons because they are enough silent to work constantly on 1800RPM.
I give you warranty EKWB Predator 240 could keep MY I7-5820K CPU on 45-50C and GTX1080 Classy GPU 55-60C Max under Load.

lol people still complain about that ? should hear the gtx 480 with stock fan on 100% sounds like a freaking jet engine taking off, anyway while we talking about it anyway, can it lift off ?
