Either the Classified 1080 or the TI.  Anything below that wouldn't be a strong enough upgrade.  Also...ACX.

Sold out in minutes = paper launch. Dump the current limited stock on people for a $100 premium and call it Founder Edition. Marketing nonsense at it's finest.

This is actually a bad thing, considering Nvidia now has more information on the impatience of their customers, regardless of a $100 markup.  They're going to keep doing this and probably push things even further.  Great job, consumers with terrible foresight.

    GPU: RTX 3090 KINGPIN | CPU: R9 5950X 4.7GHz @ 1.21V | Memory: 32GB (2x16GB) 3733MT/s 14-14-14-28 1T | Mobo: Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | Storage: WD SN850 2TB & Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB| Primary Display: ROG PG27UQ 4K 144Hz HDR 1000 | Chassis: Phanteks Enthoo Elite | PSU: EVGA 1600 T2

Considering the numbers that will indulge scalpers asking 900+ I don't think anyone that wanted it on launch day so much as blinked. All despite the fact they were buying an xx4 series GPU that just a few years ago would have been under $350 at launch.

Gotta say while I don't agree with it at all, from a money making perspective, over the last three generations, nvidia has played their hand darn well.

X399 Designare EX, Threadripper 1950x, Overkill Water 560mm dual pass radiator. Heatkiller IV Block Dual 960 EVO 500gb Raid 0 bootable, Quad Channel 64gb DDR4 @ 2933/15-16-16-31, RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra, Corsair RM850x, Tower 900

Yes, they have.  Nvidia is the king when it comes to squeezing every last penny out of the consumer.  They make great products though.  It's time for AMD to step it up at some point.  Maybe Vega?  Ugh.

I remember when the 680 came out, there was a waiting list. I remember being 151 and 152 in line.
