Good amounts of money earned allows for continued research and development funding. Looking forward to new NVIDIA products in 2017.
I agree. But thats not the case with Nvidia at this time

What I was commenting on was the above information, that shows Nividia spending MORE than its entire yearly revenue on stock boosting...
While in house capital outlays for next year are projected at just 45-50 million dollars
So in the next 18 months Nvidia plans over --4 billion dollars-- in investor directed spending... not one cent of that on products
And of course Nvidia just this month added spying telemetry to its drivers as a method of added revenue..........
What we see here is shareholders and employees feeding at the trough with a already exceptional stock, while we as customers are milked at the same time.
History shows that this kind of behavior -often- leads to complete disaster.
Jen-Hsun Huang appears to be a lot more interested in making paper profits for himself and the venture guys he gave the company to than the future of his company. Its called pure greed. That works "ok" when times are good, but always ends badly when the music stops -and it always does at some point-.
This type of disgusting corporate behavior where stock becomes more important than products, just makes the music stop that much sooner.

Nvidia would be wise to remember history, but it appears to be Dom, million dollar cars and stock games at party time Nvidia right now....
As the other graphics companies mentioned above learned the hard way, the music can stop quite suddenly indeed
