SLI on BFBC2 is about the same GPU load wise (40% in game , spikes to 55-62%max on win/lose screens only ),not impressed overall .Just another driver with a nicer wrapper IMO


I run BC2 on VSync and during heavy fights near by and being zoomed in it would drop to 37-42 FPS. With this driver I am locked at 60FPS at all times.
 
480 in SLI here.

I got this weird little bug with MSI Afterburner that it shows the wrong fan speed at the interface.. 
although my actual fan speed does change to the right speed, it just doesnt show it right :p  any more people having this with MSI Afterburner or EVGA precision? 
not much of a problem, bit confusing

its since this new driver, i did clean install and unchecked 3d vision.

Single GTX 460 here

I assume you're using Vsync, try disabling that.

it goes to 62 and then instead of staying around 30 it stays in the 40's

i did a clean install
i'm playing with the exact same settings in nvidia control panel and in-game sc2 as i did with the previous 258.96

What happens for me is that when I open the application or when I set the fan speed or sometimes on startup of Windows.... the fan speeds drops to a different level.

If I press the Auto Fan Button off and then back on a few times on both of these applications. I can usually get it to stay the speed I want. Sometimes not.

I have tried all the Driver trouble shooting techniques on my side. But sill the problem still is there.

Is anyone else having fan control issues with these drivers? Especailly on GTX 460's it seems.

The new drivers are pretty good , but really no gains anywere for me and one problem is now back my Monitor comes back on by itself when my Rig is shut down, I had this problem with my GTX 280s with a set of drivers ..

 
Anybody else with this problem from this driver..?

Are you running both at the same time or, any other application concurrently that monitors or can adjust the fan speed?

overclock. your cpu is the limit.

These drivers lowered my score in heaven. I will try some other benchmarks.

individual starcraft 2 profile doesn't work
i put on AA nothing happens
infact it doesn't even detect my sc2 application, i gotta manually add it

Yes, just the game exe crashes and I can restart  the game. I don't think it's vid drivers. It has been happening for me since we were on the 258 drivers or before, not sure. I don't use alt=tab often at all so, didn't really notice. I think it was a patch that caused it. Their useless but funny forums are no help. The standard recommendation is to either run in a window (no way) or don't alt-tab( I'll take this choice).

My 3dmark vantage score gained 100 with this driver.  My movies play just fine and the driver installed fine which was an improvement over previous versions which required me to enter safe mode to install properly.

I am having the same problem with Precision

Anyone here getting issues with MSI afterburner and EVGA Precision with Fan Speed issues?


What happens for me is that when I open the application or when I set the fan speed or sometimes on startup of Windows.... the fan speeds drops to a different level.

If I press the Auto Fan Button off and then back on a few times on both of these applications. I can usually get it to stay the speed I want. Sometimes not.

I have tried all the Driver trouble shooting techniques on my side. But sill the problem still is there.

Is anyone else having fan control issues with these drivers? Especailly on GTX 460's it seems.

Ugghhh! Why must I get this amazing news when I am at class. I am definitely going to give this a download for my 470 and see how it runs.

Well, they still suck for me. Only way they work is to disable SLI. Must be a tri-sli problem I guess.Plus the control panel on first install takes forever to activate 3 way sli. Game plays just fine with the older drivers, so I will stick with them.

individual starcraft 2 profile doesn't work
i put on AA nothing happens
infact it doesn't even detect my sc2 application, i gotta manually add it


seems nvidia added a profile for starcraft 2.exe, but its actually called SC2.exe.
