These work without a hitch at all for me. Installed nice with the "clean install" option, and no problems whatsoever. Have been realllllly enjoying the lack of stutter in BC2. Only one thing that I have noticed, my load temps have increased. I now hit 84ish with my custom fan profile set at 84%, used to hit about 80 with 80% fan... More GPU usage = hotter card

You know now that I think about it, playing some video's in 2d surround on the old drivers (258) would cause my system to lock up. I'd have to power off via the PSU to get her back running again, and no error code when she started up. It might just be an issue with the install. I'd say try a fresh install on the drivers and see if it happens again. I haven't been able to replicate the issue since I Installed the 260 drivers fresh.

Afterburner CraptacularOne Afterburner CraptacularOne Installed these a while ago and I have one problem with them. While in surround if I attempt to play any movie file, AVI, WMV, or MPG I get a BSOD. If I disable surround then movies play fine again. A bit annoying having to disable surround if I want to watch a video on my PC then re enable and reconfigure surround every time. I'm thinking this has got to be something Nvidia changed with the surround driver. As it doesn't happen if I use standard SLI. In standard SLI movies play fine, but as soon as I select "span displays" movie play back goes to hell. Anyone else with surround have anything like this going on? hmmmm. Off to see if I can duplicate this... Thanks for telling us Crap!! Let me know if you can repeat it. Our setups are very similar. Boy do I ever... I do not have the pleasure of getting the actual blue screen though. My system just freezes and restarts on it's own... Here is what it says when it re-starts.... Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 116 BCP1: FFFFFA800C28A4E0 BCP2: FFFFF8801013CCF8 BCP3: FFFFFFFFC00000B5 BCP4: 000000000000000A OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 256_1 Previous drivers did not do this... I am rolling back... Well that's similar to what I get. I think Nvidia screwed up something in the surround driver. Try rolling back to the 258.96 and see if he cures it, then we can rule out it's this drivers surround driver that's the problem.

khatru311 Hi Jacob, Can you be more specific on the huge improvements for Tri-SLi and 3D vision? I will buy another EVGA 480 immediately if the results are good enough! Any benches? Thanks! There were a few compatibility issues with 3DVision and 3-way in some games. (Mafia II, and Assassins Creed II) Now it is perfect, also BFBC2 for sure is running better than ever. Of course its impossible to really measure benchmarks with 3DVision since you are locked at 60FPS to each eye, but it is definitely a lot smoother.

Except I only have one 460. Seems like the digital read and what you set the fan speed to is lagging behind. So if I want the fan speed at say 50% it will be 50% in the read out but if the fan was originally at say 40 then the slider would be stuck on 40 while the read out is 50%. Don't know if anyone else has run into that problem. Also noticed the GPU seems to be running hotter since the driver update. Usually able to play a game of League of Legends and having folding@home running in the bg while gaming and the fan at 60% and the GPU temps would never go above 60°C now its running at like 67°C. Gonna run through some more games and tests to see what is up and if it stays consistent. Or whether my fan speed was actually under what it normally is and I didn't notice due to the EVGA Precision being buggy with the new drivers.

squall-leonhart WalkInDaDog No really guys, IS there still supposed to be a box to check whether or not you want SLI with these new drivers? My nvidia control panel doesn't have it with the 260 driver but in the system specs both of my 480's are there in the nvidia control panel. It may well be a dumb question but one I really do need an answer for as all of the previous control panels had it and I didn't see anything about it in the release notes. what network adapter do you have? @ Squall-Leonhart; Well they say three's a charm... Did you have anything after asking me what my network adapter was? I am probably just going to go back and boot into safe mode and get rid of all things 260.63 I guess and then reinstall the last working drivers for me anyway because not only can't I find the SLI checkmark where it should be in the same page as the PhysX choices are but Firefox keeps crashing every 5-10 minutes or more accurately when I try and go to a newer page (tab). I am though actually interested in why there is no SLI box to check there when everywhere else in the nvidia control panel clearly shows there being 2 GTX 480's as well as any other program I have used to see what is what with the cards. I did go and upgrade to the last ethernet driver (nforce) for my nvidia chipset/RAID/and Ethernet to come out to see if that mattered and then went back and uninstalled everything and then did a clean install making sure to turn all programs that were running off just in case, especially the Norton package Comcast gives you and also turned everything back to their stocks speeds in the BIOS and EVGA Precision which is about all I have been using for OCing. Thanks though Mr Squal Sir for at least asking a question of me as I was beginning to think I was invisible last night or this morning rather. SO, any other answers out there?

Hey all.. i`ve got some questions...which i also posted in the FPB thread, but since i cannot hold out much longer because i`m dying to install my new 460 i thought i`d post it here as well (GTX 460 1G SC EE (01G-P3-1373-ER) and i`m using Win 7 64bit ) I`m a little confused at what i have to do since i have to install the new gpu +drivers as well ontop of installing so.... i`m going to uninstall my current drivers, switch off my PC, remove my current 7900GTX and put in my new one, load up the PC and... this is where i`m stuck, should i install the new drivers ( 260.63 ) uninstall them, run this FPB then reinstall them? or just run this FPB then install the new drivers?....

maniacvvv badboy64 maniacvvv badboy64 Where are the 3D Vision drivers. I can't even use it at all. It says that I don't have the USB driver installed when I try the wizard. See? Thats what I'm talking about in my post above. Maybe he should have turned some stuff off first? Thats my POINT He either "forgot" to check the box to install the 3d drivers, or his driver install encountered a conflict. --> So much for Badboy64 and his posted "I never have a problem"... I already have the USB installed but it is for the 258 driver and the light is green and the 3D Vision setup doesn't recognize it at all saying it needs the USB driver. Do you even have that kind of setup? I doubt you do. I installed the 3D Vision drivers along with the driver setup itself. There isn't any USB driver with this setup at all for the 260 drivers. I always leave programs on when installing drivers and never had this problem before. You wouldn't know what is going on with my system to begin with. I didnt say I did. I was just pointing out you said you NEVER had any problems using running background apps during Nvidia driver installs. Then you came back 15mins later and had PROBLEMS. The intent was not to diss you bro. -->I just wanted those users who have been having issues to turn things OFF before installing this new driver set. I belive you made my point for me, thats why I posted. You have a very impressive setup and I'm sure you want everything working correctly -just like everyone else- Taking a few seconds to properly shut everything off before a driver install, is always a good idea worth trying. This what I am talking about. Here is what driver I need from this package. This is the last that came out and the 259 USB driver doesn't work with the 260 3D Vsion driver at all. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vision-winvista-win7-cd-1.33-whql-driver.html

its faking the refresh rate, the same way creating a refresh rate of 60.01hz would display only 60. Its still at 59.94 when the mode is read back using one of the available monitor utilities.
