I cant send you a pm, so i have to ask right here. :-) I've ordered a SR-2 and 2x X5680s - im a Student and i want to build a videoediting machine. Im limited to my budget so i have to overclock to get some performance boosts. I shot on ebay, the Mobo/CPU and 48 gigs of ecc ram for 500€ with 2 cpu copperplates. I am pretty sure this block has run its course. I could be wrong... I don't mind being wrong.. but yea its been some years now. This has to be EVGA's most successful board, and my most successful block.

Lol, wow I just looked back at this thread. I bought my blocks and I believe the board you prototyped on 4 years and 3 months ago. The fact that you still get requests blows my mind. Heck I even got the board and blocks at the "end of life" on the SR2 as the SRX was about to be launched. It's a shame Intel crippled the SRX by not letting you OC though. Wish that EVGA would release another dual socket enthusiast board. There is just something sexy about dual socket boards that don't have green PCB's lol.

You are not the only one blown away that I still get requests for this. I thought the SRX would put this block out. I only did ONE SRX block though.

Hi nateman doo siding the subject a bit if you don't mind me asking. Wondering why you sandblast your cold plates? Does it make heat transfer from plate to water more efficient? milling my own blocks and looking others ideas. Thought had in mind nickle plating them. Nice work by the way.
